Popular Post suffolk fox Posted 5 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 5 September 2022 By tradition Leicester City have always had keepers that were exceptional. As a club we have always had great keepers. Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, Mark Wallington, Tim Flowers, Kasey Keller, Kasper Schmeichel to name a few. I have to say Danny Ward has to be the worst keeper we have ever had. His positional sense is none existant, his kicking is poor, he is an average Championship keeper at best. We have to give Iverson a chance against Villa, unfortunately though Rogers will not. Carry on with Ward in goal I now believe we will achieve another record, by beating Derbys lowest points total in the premier league. 1 5
RowlattsFox Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Well this is going to improve his confidence I think he's a better keeper than he is currently showing (but not good enough to be number 1 here maybe) but like many other players confidence seems shot 2
AYLESBURY FOX 1961 Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Clearly you never saw Spider in goal lols, 2
Finnegan Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Not helpful. Good enough or not, he's in goal now. 2
Popular Post Pliskin Posted 5 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 5 September 2022 Jesus. There’s a long list of keepers worse than him……. 6
Mickyblueeyes Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Not the worse keeper. Logan, Henderson, Rab Douglas would be higher on the list. I wasn’t too fond of Simon Royce and Ward reminds me of him. Lots of effort but positioning skills of a dead fish. 1 1
RowlattsFox Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 This has made me think about some of the keepers we had in the Championship until we signed Kasper Ricardo
adejo92 Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 (edited) He's shocking. He is so stiff and has absolutely no positional awareness or sense of leadership or organisation. I dont think any of us are saying that Iverson is going to be the next Schmeichel, but it's to the point now where he genuinely can not be any worse than Ward. Edited 5 September 2022 by adejo92 1
5waller5 Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 No where near the “worst keeper we have ever had” and a pointless, confidence sapping post. Worst post we’ve ever had?? Still no, but not far off.
Fox42 Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 (edited) I’m not having this, sorry. It’s a combination of being used to his predecessor for 11 years and the shambolic “defence” that has been put into place in front of him that has led you to believe that he’s our worst ever keeper. No way. We’re in a dire situation right now. Take BR out of the club and you’ll see why we signed Danny Ward in the first place. Edited 5 September 2022 by Fox42 3 1
ParkerPen Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 worst keeper we've had in the top flight perhaps. certainly not the worst in the time i've been watching us ! that would be ricardo or kirkland
lcfc043 Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Not the worst but he still has no business being a Prem number 1. A good team needs a goalkeeper exuding confidence. Getting Thomas on a yellow shortly after taking the lead sums him up.
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Just the sort of twattish thread (not) needed. Whilst I don't think Ward is the answer, slagging off players adds fuel to the fire that we are a bunch of twats who don't support the team.
Popular Post Leicester_Loyal Posted 5 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 5 September 2022 'Perhaps you must change your tag....Leicester loyal you certainly are not. We will be nowhere near the relegation places this season, dont be ridiculous. Since 2016 we have a large majority of supporters who somehow believe we should be beating the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd to name but a few every week. Perhaps Rogers is right when he says we have overachieved? Look at our history its great when we give the big boys a bloody nose now and again but we can never compete with either the financial clout of the big 6 or with the players they can bring in or the talent that sits on their benches or even beat them week in week out. We never get a result at Arsenal full stop. What some supporters expect I really dont know. Go support Wolves if you want to be entertained? They have played 2 like us scored once conceded twice. They cant score for toffee havent won for seven games. I genuinely belive some of our fanbase live in cloud cuckoo land with their expectations. Look at Everton. Spend fortunes but are still woeful. Get behind the team stop the negativity, we will be fine this season. Two games in people calling for the managers head, people slagging off the team, people being derisory and moaning is helping noone let alone the team. Lets see where we are after 10 games, not two. ' Your post to me after the Arsenal game 12
Tommy G Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 A lot of people wanted Kasper out, be careful what you wish for..........his leadership alone has been sorely missed this season. 2
Suzie the Fox Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Certainly had a bad day yesterday, which won't have done him any favours. I'm sure he can do (and i've seen) much better. However i would like Iversen to get a shout, not just because Ward is not playing well, but he's had more actual game experience in the last couple of years (albeit not in the PL.)
RowlattsFox Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Just now, Tommy G said: A lot of people wanted Kasper out, be careful what you wish for..........his leadership alone has been sorely missed this season. When people wanted Kasper out though they probably preferred to sign a replacement Unfortunately Ward was the easy and cheap option.
