Sell one of the brightest CB prospects in the world and replace him with Sideshow Bob. This is what we have become.

Would rather have sideshow Bob than a player how ever good who has little to no loyalty.

Another victim of the doomed Rodgers diktat that says it is better to fart around at the back than do the old school basics of simply clearing your lines.

Fantastic. Enjoy watching him in the Championship next season too.

He was fine first half. Some great tackles and blocks. Got done once but we covered it because we actually had shape. Forced onto the left side of a back three thanks to Rodgers' sub and turns into Bambi on ice.

It's a carbon copy of Soyuncu, Rodgers is just trying to speedrun ruining him this time. :dunno:

A player can look promising on their debut despite the result of the match. You just need to separate the 2 things in your mind.

For me, he was a totally unknown quantity and as he was a late (possibly panic) purchase, I was a little apprehensive. I thought it a good debut because he wasn't a total ****ing disaster area.

Had it easy against Forest so today was more of a test. He made a couple of solid challenges (no nonsense as they say) that impressed me but I think he got infected with a bit of 'headless chicken ' that seems to invariably infect our team these days.

It's not his fault he has to play and defend the Brendan way.....same thing probably p*ssed of Cags aswell

**** me, people will defend anything.

It absolutely IS his fault that he couldn’t kick a football and so let them in for the first and then lazily jogged back to the goal line like he was on holiday and didn’t give a flying **** when he should’ve got back and cleared it off the line.

His mistakes today had zero to do with the “style of play”.

One was down to him not kicking a football properly and the other was down to sheer laziness and lack of commitment. That IS his fault.

The first goal was shit but just watched the second goal again. He’s ****ing useless.

Evans was even worse for this goal. He was in no man’s land not picking up anyone when the scorer runs past him.

Softy soft soft

I also want to point out Tielemans’ woeful attempt to block the cross, he was probably worried about giving away another pen.

Tbh, I thought the ball had crossed the line before Wout could have got a foot to it. Admittedly, he could have had more urgency getting back but I think he thought the danger had been cleared.

How can anyone be saying he’s a good player on the same night we’ve shipped 6 goals and it could have been more?

FT at its finest again

cause people can see past the result and actually see he has potential

He looked like he could be a good player. Looked composed on the ball. The defence was utterly exposed by our midfield time and time again. Not sure about the corner goals if it was his man each time.

We conceded 6 goals, the defensive unit takes collective responsibility as it is their job as a unit to prevent that from happening.

So yeah. A 5 at best. Evans 1.

Reminds me so much of an inform Cags.

So calm and confident on the ball but knows when to go aggressive in the tackle.

Absolutely love him. Looks a great signing!

This was after one game...one game, where we conceded 6 goals

Amazing
