davieG Posted 4 October 2022 Share Posted 4 October 2022 http://sportwitness.co.uk/leicester-attentive-situation-man-united-player-potential-e15m-package-deal-studied/ Leicester ‘attentive to situation’ of Man United midfielder – Potential €15m package deal ‘being studied’ By Tom Coast -4th October 2022 On Tuesday, we covered a story from Spain claiming that Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek was a reported target for Inter. With them a bit short in midfield and the Dutch midfielder clearly out of the loop at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag, it made some sense, but they might not be the only ones keen. That’s because Jeunes Footeux in France have an article on Tuesday claiming that Leicester City, who finally got their first win of the season in a 4-0 drubbing of Nottingham Forest on Monday night, could be interested in January. The website explain the Foxes are ‘attentive to the situation’ of the Manchester United man, ‘especially to compensate a potential exit of Youri Tielemans’, whose contract at the King Power Stadium runs out at the end of the season. The January transfer window could be the last chance for Leicester City to make some money from a sale, but in allowing him to go, they would need a replacement. That’s where the Manchester United midfielder comes in, and ‘a loan with option to buy under conditions of €15m is currently being studied’. While he is struggling at Old Trafford, it’s said Van de Beek ‘isn’t giving up on imposing himself in the Premier League’, and perhaps a club like Leicester ‘could allow him to find more game time’. AKCJ Posted 4 October 2022 Share Posted 4 October 2022 Don't see where he fits in. Praet is good enough to be 3rd/4th choice attacking midfielder. He'll be on a fairly big wage too.
RoboFox Posted 4 October 2022 Share Posted 4 October 2022 Fits the profile of Brendan's "silver medallist" But yeah, doesn't really make any sense whatsoever and is probably a load of tosh.

Seems a risk if you ask me, unless we can get him on good wages that is Edited 4 October 2022 by foxes_rule1978

when_you're_smiling Posted 4 October 2022 Share Posted 4 October 2022 Thought he was brilliant whenever I saw him for Ajax and the idea of signing him for £13m a couple of years ago would have been amazing. Hopefully the Man U experience hasn’t destroyed him and still only 25.

whoareyaaa Posted 5 October 2022 Share Posted 5 October 2022 Would take him for an extra attacking player could play from the right hand side? As above he was brilliant for Ajax and you don't lose that ability imo.

filbertway Posted 5 October 2022 Share Posted 5 October 2022 Not for me, there's a reason he's barely getting a lookin at United and I'd rather we not spunk away £10-15 million over 4 years to find out why.
