I don't have a sub to The Athletic, what'll he actually be doing?

The article doesn't actually say, aside from "keeping tabs" on players on loan. I would hope a loan manager would be looking to find good fits, where players can develop into first team players. If that is what Huth wants to do, I am all for it. If it is "jobs for the old boys" -- like previous loan managers seemed to be at times -- then find him something else to do.

This is good news. I know he was aggressive on the pitch but he strikes me as very level-headed and professional off the pitch, too.

I hope this rubs off on those currently in the youth setups but also those currently out on loan. Especially if there's that communication between those players away from here and Huth, like Hammond alludes to missing out on when he was away on loan.

Good luck to him, and those that will benefit from it!

Callum Wright mentioned this was a bit of an issue once Guy Branston left that he basically didn't hear from the club at all, and that he didn't actually really talk to anyone at the club for about a year and a half other than Branston

Great news this is, good chance for him to build on his contacts and a foot in the door after completing his degree in sporting directorship (or whatever it was called).

More decisions and moves like this please!
