I think Potter would do a good job for us.

I just dont see it. I feels more of the same (albeit less proven of the same). Last season Brighton were sh*t housing loads of draws and went on a horrible losing streak. Brighton look much better at the moment under Roberto De Zerbi. This current Chelsea outfit look horrible. My father in law is a season ticket holder and says it toxic around there are the moment, and he is adamant he's not renewing next season unless there is change. With all the riches at his disposal, Potter is looking inexperienced and out of his depth. I think they made a big mistake ignoring Rodgers, and if Brendan wasn't playing silly buggers at the time i think there is a chance he would have got it.

Interesting to hear Shearer call Chelsea embarrassing today. Until now, pundits had been giving Potter the benefit of the doubt but now they are wobbling, even calling out an xg if something like 0.1 today.

Its a project apparently, but this is the Todd Boehly who wants all stars 'soccer' so i think his definition of a project is likely different to what everyone else thinks it is. I don't think they are going to accept much more of this.

Lovely to see a Chelsea meltdown mind you. Couldn't happen to a nicer club.

No.

He's not had a transfer window yet. The last manager went out and spent over £100m on defenders they didn't urgently need and then got a washed up striker on the cheap when thats what they desperately needed. Let's see what he does this month and more importantly on the summer.

Potter was never gonna be an instant success. He’s inherited a squad he needs to clear and start again.

It took him a couple years to get Brighton into the position they are now. He was booed by Brighton fans and his first couple of league finishes were poor. It’s obvious he’s more of a squad builder.

It did surprise me Chelsea went for him though having him won nothing with Brighton.

Managers are always gonna struggle there unless the new owner playing at DoF pays dividends. I'm not sure how much degree of control any manager will get there.

I hope the Villa and to a point the Spurs game puts our win into perspective.
They were both at home with possibly their starting 11s we were away on a Lge 2 ground & made 8 changes against a side wanting a moral boosting win in-front of a new manager, it might not have been pretty but it was a professional job done and onto Walsall

Some people just don’t see it.

Exactly. Games like ours have so much potential for a scalp. How many do we see; Newcastle, Villa, Forest.

It’s not about performance for me, we just got to see the game through which is what we did.

Aston Villa have lost 7 consecutive 3rd round matches.

Stevenage are a good team in great form, got to finish them off as they'll keep going.

Yes they have spent a lot of money for very little squad depth it seems so need to spend more .

Good someone eventually puts things into perspective. I have avoided to comment on the specific match thread but if fans think FA cup home or away games with Championship/League 1/League 2 teams are easy they're deluded. Especially when you have tons of injuries.

They've gone one better than our disastrous 6 successive 3rd round defeats (1986 to 1991).    That took some doing!   :)

He's not a great start when he arrived Chelsea were 6th now their 9th. However I'm not sure what Chelsea fans expect with the injuries they've got. Some fans may crave for Zinedine but he would have the sound outcome at the moment.

I’d love it just once if we turned up tomorrow like Oxford have here against Arsenal. This timid, overly respectful, sideways-backwards shite that we serve up is depressing

More damming evidence that the referee made the decision to give offside in our game against Liverpool. Lino was going back to the half way line as soon as the goal was scored. Until the ref gestured (and probably spoke into his mike to him too) him to flag it off.

I seriously hate this current bunch of incompetent refs and PGMOL with a passion. We've constantly been getting done over these last few seasons.
