I don’t see us picking any points up, only one team worse than us, and we have already played them.

Leeds will play with too much intensity for us, Wolves will have new manager bounce and Man City will batter us.

We could quite comfortably find ourselves in a situation where we are 7-9 points adrift. It’s a complete disgrace that the board have shown such ignorance to our current predicament.

Five games to go until the World Cup break.

Leeds (H) win

Wolves (A) draw

Man City (H) lose

Everton (A) loss

West Ham (A) loss

Realistically, there's probably only 1-3 points there and that's with Thursday's game.

Man City is a total write off. A shame as previous seasons I'd have seen us at least give them some kind of game and make it difficult for them.

Everton and Wolves aren't generally places we do well in. West Ham play on the front foot and are pretty much opposite to us.

A new manager bounce might help us with the 3 away games, but even I'm not that hopeful a change will be made in time :(

Could be pretty bleak by the time we come back from World Cup, and there's Newcastle and Liverpool to play...

4 points is what we’ll get I think

Thursday is the only one of those we'll be favourites for. Three away games and the best side in the league at home. It's why drawing on Saturday was totally unacceptable.

I commented on a different thread yesterday around this. I think 4 points leaving us on 9 from 15 games. That would be a tough ask of probably another 33 points from 23 games to make sure we are safe.

Of course wouldn't be Brendans fault if this does come true but would expect his P45 to be issued by then finally.

He’ll be sacked when it’s too late.

And when he is, we’ll probably be too far adrift to get any manager of note and we’ll be looking for one the club thinks can get us promoted.

What a mess.

I'm gonna go for an optimistic 7. Scrape a win against Leeds, lose to Wolves and then a 7/8 nil pasting from Man City. That will finally be it for Rodgers (and Ward!) and this will allow us to get 4 points from Everton and West Ham.

4. Beat Leeds and draw at Wolves.

Can’t see us winning at Wolves, Everton or West Ham. Then throw in the best team in the league.

Leeds (H) - 3-1

Wolves (A) 1-2

Man City (H) 1-1

Everton (A) 0-1

West Ham (A) 0-0

I would have said six, beat Leeds, draws in the 3 aways and Man City is also a fixture we're obliged to fulfill, but then I think no Evans, no Wilf, no Madders v Leeds, dubious GK, and 4 points starts to sound more realistic or less unrealistic than 6 anyway! Could win at Wolves and shouldn't be losing at Everton but if we've already lost to Leeds confidence will be shot (I think that's an "O" not an "I") by then even further so Leeds really is vital. They play at 375 mph and press like a pack of greyhounds, the thought of them bearing down on Amartey dithering on the ball as last man gives me cold sweats.

Conclusion - Beat Leeds and will get 4-6 points, lose to Leeds and get eventual new manager bounce vs Everton & West Ham = 2 points.

Well, we’re currently on course for 19 points this season.

We’ll need just over 1 point a game if we want to get 40 points.

Two wins every five games or a win and three draws. Or thereabouts.

So we need to improve. And we’re not improving. And we’re not getting in anyone new to improve us.

We’re going down with beautiful ship Brendan.

If Rodgers is still here for all of them then we will struggle to get more than 4 points. No chance of anything vs Man City or West Ham. Everton we'll get a draw at best and Wolves away is never a nice place for us, pur best chance of a win is vs Leeds which then means he gets the other 3-4 games anyway which is just torture.

I'm going to be optimistic and say 5 points.

Beat Leeds, draw with Wolves and Everton and lose to Man City and West Ham.

Draw at best with Leeds, maybe win vs Wolves and lose the others for me

1 point if rodgers stays in charge.

Wolves are bound to have a new manager before our game as well so thats that one gone.
