Got a similar feel to when Taggart was brought in to the coaching set up but we were the absolute pits. Let's hope it works out better for Kingy and he's here for years and years.

I'm probably being a little harsh, but this feels a like a bit of a stunt to get the fans back on side a little.

Irrespective…..

it’s a good decision imo to have Kingy with the first team.

Give it Kingy ‘til end of the season

He doesn't deserve his first spell as a head coach to immediately be marred with a relegation.

I would have preferred us to get a class assistant with experience to help an inexperienced manager.

Not another inexperienced coach who just happens to be a club legend.

It probably is but it's a good stunt - I'll go for it

What we'd do for a prime Kingy - at least 2 levels above anything we currently have in the middle of the park

A true Mr Leicester City - love the bloke

I just hope it does work out for Kingy and hopefully he gives the players a well deserved rocket/hair dryer treatment and tells them what it means to play for us.

This is why I think Ruud deserves a bit of time. If we are still shit next year fair enough but it’s hard to turn this ship around overnight despite our fans thinking tweaking formation or playing Mavividi or Daka will instantly resolve our issues. He’s got stuff to learn yes but he’s an excellent communicator, he understands the value of building an identity which is what we need, it takes time.

Hmmmm. Kingy is surely one of our most cherished players and I'm glad he's here.

But that said, the cynic is me is a bit dubious, and if we're being honest with ourselves, how much are we really going to benefit from this?

I love the bloke and long term I think it's great he's around, but let's not get carried away.

And for the love of god don't just throw him into a management role for us if things get worse. The last thing we need is to see Kingy in the dugout floundering and getting caught in the mire of this shitshow. Ruud's managerial talent is up in the air (I'm not convinced at all), Kingy isn't going to just become a great manager overnight.

It says absolutely everything about the club right now that the first thing I thought was "deflection".

With that and the charity days I just can't trust a single thing that happens in the place right now. It's all being run by shady b@stards.

Hope I'm wrong but you can absolutely picture him having to take over first team duties at some point because Ruud walks

Yes kingy and Vards at the helm,

Again I get the cynicism but I don’t think we can moan about the players having a lack of understanding what Leicester means etc, and then have King involved not seeing some benefits to it

Yeah Ruud needs experience around him as well agreed

While I welcome this news I think it’s pretty obvious why they’ve done it.

1. The club failed to recruit a full set of staff when they appointed Ruud.

2. The club see this as a quick and simple way to appease a few after the slight turmoil over the past few days with the protest and anti-Rudkin van.
