I haven't seen him play either. However, Enzo and his coaches promoted him to the first team squad as soon as he'd returned from injury. That's exciting enough for me.

Returned from injury seems to be open to debate

I think they mean dropping down for 1-2 seasons only.

The irony is we got Trey Nyoni poached off us and he's doing well in Liverpool's academy but there's every chance he'd have got promoted to the 1st team under Maresca and his route to 1st team football is solidified.

I thought that too.  It must have been dispiriting for our promising youngsters, seeing how they were given no prospect of progressing to the first team under Rodgers.  If only Maresa were in place a year earlier.  Would that have made the difference and persuaded Nyoni to stay?  Hard to say, because of the appeal of Liverpool (both being a higher profile club and being able to offer bigger wages) but I feel sure that his decision wouldn't have been as easy.

He's either had a set back or is on the bench tomorrow. From enzos comments earlier, I'd guess its the latter as Wilf isn't available when we thought he would be

Didn’t see Will during todays training video?

Been training with the 23s this week?

Injury’s flared up I heard. Hopefully nothing serious but coming back from an injury like his isn’t always plain sailing.

We can afford not to rush either Alves or Braybrooke..We still have 2 full months before 2024, plus IMO then another few weeks, before the need of wanting to try them.or the want of the need to try them..
I don’t believe AFCON,will upset our squads quality or balance,so dramatically.

For these 2 young lads..that Enzo has mentioned both he wants to bring into the fold, should calm things down a bit,and take some pressure off anything immediate. These 2 young lads need full recuperation, from horrible injuries..

AND if one or both, only make late season, nothing yet lost..

It wasn’t anything serious. Played last night and scored.

You need to have a word with your source

🤷‍♂️ got told last week that he’d had a flare up, glad it was nothing serious and he’s back and on the score sheet already

When you Google image Caden Voice, there’s more pictures of Will Alves than Caden himself

Voice signed a new pro contract yesterday. I realise the kid was 16 and mistakes happen but what he did makes me so ****ing angry. His Dad seems like a total **** too. Interestingly Voice shares the same agent as Coady.

I hope the club have taken action against Wolves. I also see the ever moral England have picked Voice for their age group sides too.

It really is one of the worst things I've ever seen on a football pitch and that Caden Voice said he did it deliberately after just makes me even angrier.

What action are the club able to take against wolves?

Players need to be protected by officials - a good ref would have noticed what was happening in the game and made comments in passing to wolves players not to do anything stupid - I’ve even seen that happen in kids football when a player is so good that he’s embarrassing others.

Keane against Haaland is the most high profile instance I can remember over the past thirty years where a player went out to hurt another - although that was from before the game started!  I don’t think Keane got nearly enough stick over the years for that from the media - he never apologised for it and maybe he shouldn’t be doing the job he is on that basis.

Their viewing figures go up every time he's on. IIRC he got a kicking on the back pages after the initial 'tackle' and even more when he brought the book out. But people love an outspoken character and it didn't stop O'Neill employing him too.

Keene was a great footballer but a vile human, revelling in the fact he'd ruined someone's career. Unfortunately it seems Caden's cut from a similar cloth, purposefully trying to end Alves career. Let's hope Alves becomes a regular in the team and goes on and has a fantastic career.

Apparently his mum reckons his younger brother, who is at the academy, is just as, if not more talented than Will but does not have Will’s drive and passion (although this may change as he matures). During his injury he was a model patient and followed everything the docs and physios told him just so that he could get back to playing again as soon as physically able.

lets hope he is as good as we think he is going to be.

...didn't the Charlton brothers say there was another brother who was better than both if them!!!

You really have to have the drive and discipline to make it, so many talented players outthere, just do not have the mental side to go with their talents.

Was good of the doctors and physios to tell him to develop the body of Leon Goretzka lol
