There was ONE positive from that game for me, physically we competed very well. We’ve been dominated by so many teams over the last few years that’s it good to see we can handle ourselves a lot better if recent.

Something I have never understood about xg (enlighten me those who actually are decent at maths to understand why this is the case) is that surely it would make sense to mulitply the shot xg rather than add them to predict the chance of a team/player scoring. Current Xg models assume that if I shoot 10 times and have an xg of .1 per shot I should om average score one of those shots since it adds the xg of each shots to get an xg of 1.0 but in probability wouldn't it make sense to multiply the probability of not scoring in xg so (0.9)^10 instead to get a value of 0.65xg instead of the rather than the 1xg that is suggested?

Another tactical shitshow from the manager. Mendy and Tielemans should have started. Vardy should have come on alongside Nacho.

You cannot setup with zero attacking intent and expect to win games. We need to go toe to toe with these teams and instead we sat deep and look scared.

If this really is the future of Leicester City and the football we play going forward, then we fully deserve to be in the Championship. Probably do us some good to spend a season in a physical league. We are pathetic.

Youri couldn’t have got down the tunnel any quicker

Sorry but you’re an arse mate …….. he’s gone to get treatment - he shouldn’t have stayed on the pitch after his ankle twist. In his position, I’m not risking my ligaments any more than they’re already screwed.  he showed commitment far greater than I’d expect by doing that

Games Maddison played over 60 mins:

15

Goals: 28

1.87 per game

Without/cameos:

9

Goals: 8

0.89 per game

I'm lumping on our relegation assuming he goes this summer. Which he will.

I do wish Brendan and the lads would give us a heads up before the game if the tactic is to do nothing and when they cant all be arsed. Would save us all a lot of time.

I mean, we didn’t play to lose. We just didn’t play well and they defended really well. Because they’re much better than us.

Southampton have just lost 1-0 Leeds. Forest just lost 4-0 to a team who have only scored more than 2 goals in a game once all season before today.

We lost 0-1 to the champions elect. That’s perspective.

I mean we did though. there was no attempt to play forward, no attempt to put pressure on a pass until we were 1-0 down. it was a nothing performance, and anyone who travelled to the ground put in more effort than the entire team. putting up a fight and losing 1-0 is acceptable, voluntarily getting rodgered and getting away with only conceding one through them deciding to sit and control the 1-0 is not

Well, it is a good job it is almost impossible for me to go to the matches now! I thought football was about entertainment.  I know the Arse are top of the league, but even Everton gave it a go and if I'd have paid for myself and my family to watch that shite, I would be gutted.

There are people on here and out there that think our manager isn't in any way responsible for that and couldn't have done anything different. Let that sink in.

Tbf the xG model is slightly faulted today cos that Tete chance doesn’t register.

The shining light of today is that there is a work ethic which are showing that we didn’t before. The back four looks like a unit on days like today.

Kristansen also very good against the form player of the league.

Glad we feel the same way about each other

That’s exaggeration of the extreme. Defensively our effort was huge - we restricted them to very few chances

it's not a measure of probability of scoring (which your method would give) it's a measure of the quality of chances created so cumulative of all shots (and then analysts will break it down based on teams priorities, looking at creating from different scenarios, as a per shot measure etc )
