Anyone optimistic here?  I mean I think most of us know what will happen. Chelsea are basically shite of you go after them, but, we won’t.

I think this could be one of those games where the lads turn up give a great account of themselves and bring home the 3 points, don’t know if that’s me being optimistic deranged hoping for divine intervention or I’m just in need of a bit of help 🤪 but I’m just hoping the lads turn up and beat the Yanksea quite impressively ! 🦊

I remember that Middlesborough one. What a terrible game. Think there were only 11,000 there or was it worse?

Found it quite an enjoyable game and a great atmosphere. Only 8,000 odd there.

Wow the ‘Ferrari’ certainly has a lot of parts missing! Good job the ‘Mini’ will be very motivated and the aggressive approach means we can take advantage.

It's gonna be 1-0 either

I hope I'm wrong, but we aren't keeping a clean sheet.

Even a far from free scoring Chelsea should score at least once. Best we get is a score draw.

Wow, crystal ball, telepathy and tin-foil all wrapped into one comment

Hasn't stopped me spending the over £150 to get to the game. I was right about the Blackburn game, and pretty sure will be right here. But more than happy to hold my hand up if they go for it.

Ended up watching it on TV. At least the club gave us a free ticket for another game I suppose

Leicester not going for it is a valid prediction. Could easily be wrong too though.

I was more questioning the fact that you seemed to know what was going on between Brendan's ears...

It's always the hope that kills you isn't it ? !

We’ll set up so defensive that literally nothing will happen for the first 30 mins. Then there’ll be a corner and Faes will score a freak own goal 0-1. After that we’ll create nothing until the 70th minute where we will push our players up but lose the ball on the halfway line. Havertz will then be 1 on 1 with Ward who won’t even dive 0-2

Rodgers will say the players showed great mentality and character and also say the line ‘we gave it away cheaply’ multiple times. He’ll say we needed to be a bit more clinical in the final third despite not having created a single chance or shot on target. Maddison will hobble off injured for 6 weeks

Add an obligatory goal from Fofana and you are spot on .

“I thought we were the better side (for the first ten minutes). We Competed well, just the final third with our passing and positioning. You’ve got to understand that our team is like a mini with all the cheap buys and lack of investment. They are a ferrari, they have terrific players, all that money and it’s difficult for us. Maddison? It’s not looking great, he played with an injury but he wanted to play. The boys gave everything but they’re just a mini not a ferrari.

I'll be annoyed if Fofana scores frequently for Chelsea, he missed so many sitters for us from set pieces.

Great. Now he’s nailed on to score.

Looking forward to a decent game and then going home to watch the highlights accompanied by just a musical soundtrack, commentary subtitles provided by the BBC executive director “Er one chappy, the blonde one, has kicked it to another one in the 3rd over of the second quarter with nil tries each…” and with footage of a potters wheel (ask the grandparents) between games

I remember that game. My mate crashed his car getting to it…slid on the ice and bumped his car. Never made it.
