Rodgers has successfully given the players both a massive inferiority complex and a ready made excuse for defeat by his pre match comments about a Mini and a Ferrari. What happened to our ambition to challenge and upset the big clubs? Just seems now that in the main we take a totally defeatist approach into games like tomorrow's, with our only ambition being to avoid a heavy defeat.

Anyone optimistic here?  I mean I think most of us know what will happen. Chelsea are basically shite of you go after them, but, we won’t.

No chance he goes for it. Its not in his interest to. He's not under any real pressure and is still in the process of protecting himself and his brand. He will go for the sit back and and show too much respect option and try to nick a draw. Then after the game all the fawning over how great Chelseas investments are will start again. Going for it and and getting a result presents the danger of realising that we have players that can compete.  That's a dangerous no-no right now.

Seeing as there is no snow of note to come and it’s mid March, you’re right - there is zero chance this is called off for weather reasons

Even more so now the snow has all but gone lol

Kante, James, Thiago Silva, Aubameyang out for them. Mount doubtful.

Put Aubameyang back in and we might stand a chance.

James is a big loss for them. They're a lot stronger at the back when he's actually fit.

A bit from me but that's probably my heart. They haven't scored too many goals under Potter. Just a shame they beat Dortmund to raise spiritis a bit.

With a back 3 they’re not as bad without him

Wow the ‘Ferrari’ certainly has a lot of parts missing! Good job the ‘Mini’ will be very motivated and the aggressive approach means we can take advantage.

No doubt we'll have 1 striker up against their solid back 3. Totally isolated. Total lack of service.

We'll have 1 or 2 players supporting that striker, playing useless balls to them in the air while Badiashile or Fofana deal with it with ease.

Barnes scuffed shot inside the edge of the box easily saved and Kepa parries a Maddison free kick.

After the Middlesbrough and Ipswich games in the Championship, I don't hold out hope for any games being cancelled

I remember that Middlesborough one. What a terrible game. Think there were only 11,000 there or was it worse?

I hope Kante knows what they're doing with his car :P
