What's your favourite ever LCFC pre-assist?

I've had some stick from this week's @BSLBPod for using the dreaded term " pre-assist " to describe KDH's fine work in getting the ball in to Maddison to play in Barnes for the equaliser.

 

It's got me thinking, what's been your favourite ever LCFC pre-assist? 

 

It's hard to remember that far back and mine mainly come to light from the last few years under Brendan, but Tielemans has a portfolio of them and that obscene power fade from Dennis Praet in the FA Cup vs Brentford in 2019/20 was astonishing.

...funnily enough, you could put Demarai Gray in the game against Everton where he picked it up from the edge of our box, beat two players, played it to Mahrez who then zips his pass into an onrushing Vardy who tucks it away first time!!!

 Countering at its best.

Easily Dennis Praet v Brentford, doubt you'll find any better tbh.

 

 

Also pre-assist is a great term, no idea why you got stick for that one haha

Okazaki's masterful 'falling over' pre-assist leaving Slimani to set up Musa for one of few competent things Musa did in a Leicester shirt. vs Palace. We won 3-1. Or 3-0. I can't remember.

 

Must have been an attacking line up!

 

Found it - not exactly as I remember it. I remember him literally falling in to the ball. It's actually a decent bit of work.

Most recent one I can remember is from Soyuncu when we went 1-0 up in the 2-0 win at home against Rennes

 

Perfect long ball from Soyuncu out to Barnes who takes it down well and then takes 2 more touches to get away from the full back, then lays it across the box and Albrighton runs onto it to smash it in

 

Overall has to be Praet against Brentford in the cup though, that ball was just perfect

You’d think Drinkwater was a clogger given how he’s spoken about on here but watching any clips from 15/16 he’s always involved. His defensive work was especially underrated

Drinky from 2014 to 2016 was one of the finest midfielders I've ever seen live for Leicester. The amount of picking up the ball and diagonal passes to the wings he made were unbelievable

Tielemans, KDH and Okazaki recent high performers on this one. The pre-assist was basically Okazaki's entire game during the title win.

We'll never hear the end of this pass but he clearly mis-hit it, I'll be laughed I'm sure but that part of play was such an oddity given the rest of his game.

 he 100% meant it. You can tell from the fact he looks at Justin and the body shape and shape of the pass. There's nothing else he could possibly be attempting there

Baby N'Golo running past (what seemed) the entire Swansea team at their place before handing it off to JV to set up Mahrez hat trick goal. Man, I miss him.

For some reason my mind also often goes back to Man Utd at home in 17/18 when for our first goal Ndidi belted one over the top with his left foot for Mahrez to run onto. It's somehow equal parts a big hoof and a weirdly good ball from a player who often misplaces the easiest of passes. The only place I can find that one in good quality is here:
