HankMarvin Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Alan Nixon Published: 22:30, 1 Apr 2023 HARRY MAGUIRE is wanted back ‘home’ at Leicester — with a loan move on the cards next season. The Manchester United centre-back faces limited game time in the run-in both at home and abroad after returning to Old Trafford from England duty. Now Brendan Rodgers is keen to take him back to the Foxes, where he was a massive hero. Leicester will always be a lure for Maguire, 30, who left with the club’s blessing — with both sides making the exit one of the most dignified going. Rodgers thinks he would be a huge capture and can sort out a defence that still leaks goals alarmingly — the main reason they fear the drop. The Leicester boss has looked at other targets like Odilon Kossounou at Bayer Leverkusen but an eye-catching loan for the United star would top that 2 major flaws with this story 1 he won’t want to play in the Championship 2 Rodgers is not likely to be manager 3
marbles Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 It would be kinda funny. Manu paid us 80mill to borrow him for a couple years 3
Bergen fox Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Imagine him and Souter together we would get murdered by there pace. 1 1
surrifox Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Oh god no , Rodgers being linked to next seasons rebuild in the championship 1
Tuna Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Laughable that journos are publishing these stories considering we're likely now to be relegated.

Vlad the Fox Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Not claiming to be itk but I was told this about two weeks ago amongst some other stuff about Rodgers, dismissed it at the time. Seems I have a tier 1 source 1
splinterdream Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 I don't see what maguire brings to us we don't already have, that is unless soyuncu leaves then maguire his replacement, what we really need is midfielders
Corky Posted 2 April 2023 Posted 2 April 2023 Come back Maguire, we will need you, to replace Soyuncu, our desperation is massive 4
RumbleFox Posted 3 April 2023 Posted 3 April 2023 (edited) I may be in the minority here but I wouldn’t want him back. I never really felt he ever wanted to be here. Never warmed to him for some reason. Which is weird, because I loved him at Hull and really wanted us to sign him. Edited 3 April 2023 by RumbleFox
Popular Post Sol thewall Bamba Posted 3 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 3 April 2023 You're insane if you wouldn't take him. He's only become a meme because he's being held to the highest possible standard playing at Man Utd. He was great for us before and he'd be great for us again. Would love to see him and Souttar. 6
Fox92 Posted 3 April 2023 Posted 3 April 2023 I'd have him back. He's better than Faes. Only issue is him and Souttar would be really slow.
coolhandfox Posted 3 April 2023 Posted 3 April 2023 Yes, in a heart beat, on loan. Good player, just not 80m good.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 3 April 2023 Posted 3 April 2023 Maguire in a deep line defence playing some counter attacking football will still be a great player for the next couple of seasons. Pointless signing him on loan if we intend to play tehe way that we currently do though.
moore_94 Posted 3 April 2023 Posted 3 April 2023 Would depend on the manager we have at the time and what kind of deal we could get especially with his kind of wages Wouldn’t see any point in getting him if we have a manager who wants a high line - potentially playing a pair of Maguire and Souttar needs a low block manager
sylofox Posted 4 April 2023 Posted 4 April 2023 Ain't happening as we don't have the money to waste on his wages. 1

Utd will front up a good portion of the wage as they'll be glad to be shot of him. He's also the wrong end of 30 so he's already on his last big contract and will just want to play regularly to keep his international hopes alive.
