Even with the other permutations, it's a scary prospect!

There are some absolutely brilliant clubs in there

I'm extremely sceptical of an instant bounce back

The obvious is to get a top class up and coming manager for a start

Will Southampton's squad stay together?

I can only see James Ward Prowse definitely getting a Premier League move. They have a young squad and I give them more of a chance of coming straight back up than us.

Think Leeds would do well too

As ridiculous as it sounds and absurdly appears on our horrendous season, I am still holding out hope we can pull through. Call me a fool, i can take the abuse but I even believe we will actually survive on the last day of the season

I’m still with you. Somehow, and how it happens I don’t know… but we will be out of the drop zone before we play West Ham…..

Are Championship matches normally televised abroad? Will there still be viewing opportunities, if we're not live on Sky?

Some chance of that with our brains trust.

Coming straight back up eh. Wishful thinking.

Thinking we stay up is already ambitious. Thinking we will be out of the relegation zone before playing West Ham is another level.

Fair play for being that optimistic/nuts

Mindlessly competing to be the most committed fan on a forum really is missing the point??

I’m the best fan.

We should be sounding out potential managers now for when/if we go down. Give them as much time as possible to sort the massive overhaul of the squad out and get us out of this mess.

With how the club has been run over the last few years they’ll probably take a month to get over the shock of going down because they won’t know where it went wrong and appoint someone halfway through the transfer window.

If they keep Alcaraz and  Bella-Kapchup they win the league no problem

Weirdly the players with contracts expiring 2026- 2028 are pretty much the only one's I would like to keep for a Championship campaign (aside from the obvious Vardy, but he'll stay even if we go down).

Barnes, Iheanacho, Maddison, Ndidi and Praet will be off.

I must say having looked through it, I do like the look of the away games on average more than I do the Premier League. That is probably the only plus I can take from it. That's partly because of how long it's been since I've been to plenty of them (not a single new ground annoyingly).

Not been to Plymouth or Ipswich since 2010 personally so will be going to both of those regardless.

The likes of Preston, Bristol City, Birmingham, QPR are all decent aways that I've not been to in ages as well. See also Stoke, Huddersfield, West Brom and Norwich which we've had fairly recently and are all decent - basically any that I've named here are ones I'd be looking out for if they came up to the Premier League. Add in you're likely to get another one of these come up via the League One play-offs.

I appreciate that the hypothetical is likely to beat the reality but I need something to cling onto. In a dream world Vardy has one last hurrah at the Hawthorns to take us back up.
