2005-2008 was surely worse? This team has players who’ve won us the Prem and FA Cup in it.

Nobody said worse, it’s who’s disliked more

When I said worse I meant less likeable.

I absolutely loathe them. I actually want to see the ***** suffer the humiliation of relegating us now.

I just don't think they'll care though. That's the problem—most have the talent which will carry them into other clubs and they'll never have to think about Leicester ever again. We can't do that, as fans. That's what hurts the most, I think: the complete disconnect and seeming apathy.

Never a known a side with such a bad attitude and mental strength. They are very similar to the squad that were relegated from the Championship. Just coast in to games thinking they are too good to go down and then start playing when it is too late in matches.

End result was that squad was dismantled and going to have to do it again this time round.

When relegation is confirmed need to plan a way back and earn the right to be a Premier League club again. Top and Co have been guilty of coasting for ages also. A rude awakening.

They just simply don't care do they? It's too apparent that many of them just don't care.

They seem to have forgotten that they (these millionaires) won't be the ones who'll be made redundant or sacked, but the people who make their lives easier at the ground/seagrave and do the simple things for them will be the ones who will struggle and suffer.

We pay hundreds to watch them play, yet I feel completely disjointed from the club.

These guys genuinely don’t think like that. They’ve been spoon fed for years, as professional footballers, and many of them won’t be concerned with relegation.
Remember how popular the really good footballers were at school? Well this just continues as they get older. Look at Maddison and Tielemans. However badly they play during the run-in, they’ll know that, come the summer, they’ll be off to bigger clubs, better teams AND will be earning more money.
This is one of the problems of paying top flight footballers too much money. They could all retire tomorrow if they wished to, so the normal desire to improve their lot, that drives most of us on, isn’t really there.

Couple this with the globalisation of top flight football and you’ll see that very few of our players are from Leicester, or the East Midlands, so that thing about wanting to do well for your ‘home side’ isn’t really there.

Yep.

Just as an example, Luke Thomas has probably already earned more than most of us will in our lives, he has a huge house and more money than he knows what to do with. He’s 21 and the only reason for him improving himself will be for more money, trophies, awards or personal pride. None of those are necessities.

He was just an example, nothing personal btw.

I mean you say this but in terms of earnings it's all relative isn't it, Hume mentioned it, he didn't want to leave but we were cutting his wages and he couldn't afford his mortgage on it (despite it probably still being a very good wedge). Youri is obviously off regardless, but theoretically Maddison could not get a move. Also they could probably retire if they've looked after their money (which we don't know if they have).

The worst part of all of this is that, as another poster said somewhere else (sorry can't remember who or where) it's the fans and the club who are punished. These guys will just get paid millions by someone else. They don't care about Leicester. Will probably have moved lined up as soon as the warning lights came on.

No.

In terms of talent versus attitude, desire and application this bunch of frauds are the worst ever by a country mile. With the exception of Vardy I can’t wait to see the back of them.

We’ve had gutless players before but not on this scale and usually without the ability to go with it.

Interestingly, if you were the manager of another club would you want to sign any of these fragile, uncommitted, lazy wasters who can’t perform under pressure?

Hated the way Maddison was laughing and joking with Pickford at the end of the Everton game after his penalty miss.

Comes across as such an arrogant self entitled ****.

We've had some shockers in the past but a lot of the time that was just because the squads were made up of not very good footballers or were the end of era's, possibly similar to the Taylor era but this lot is a different kettle of fish!

There have been signs for 2 years or so but I don't understand how you go from finishing 5th and winning the FA cup, to finishing 8th and playing in a European semi, to....being relegated?

We had a so called elite manager, rumoured to be the 5th highest paid in the league and a squad with the rumoured 6th highest wage bill. A talented squad who we have seen perform to an incredibly high level, only now to look uninterested, unorganised, unfit, and uncaring!

We've dished out big money contracts, only to see them regress or force a move or run down their contracts.

We spent £100 million quid on a world class training complex that was supposed to attract the best players and make the best players, and it seems to have been nothing more than an all expenses paid luxury health spar where they have a bit of a kick about, or even a £100 million children's nursery.

Serious questions do need to be asked at every level as the club is obviously rotten to the core and poorly run. If and when relagation does come and if the players do have the balls to do a lap of dishonour, I think we need to see a protest in the stands against the players and their poor attitude and those at the top for the running of the club. Because if your telling me the likes of Palace, Bournemouth, Everton, Leeds and forest are better run than us then we might as well go now.

We deserve answers as to what's happened to our club in a short space of time, as ultimately it will be us that suffer, not these morons on the pitch. Hopefully they'll try harder for their next club's!

Mercenaries and charlatans.

Many of whom have delusions of grandeur when it comes to thinking they 'deserve' to be playing for 'top' teams in 'top' competitions.

Enjoy benchwarming.

They think they're better than what they are. Individually they are but some of these are bad characters to have in our situation. They don't care regardless of what they say in front of the media. Look at Seamus Coleman when he went off injured last week. He was rallying their fans from a stretcher!!!

Where's he realistically going to go Spurs or Newcastle. It depends who the Spurs manager is, but that tends to be the mentality there. As for Newcastle on an upward trajectory, he'd be the odd one out with his current attitude, an people conform usually to social norms.

Attitude wise mentality wise this is by far the worst Leicester team since I have been following us (1979-80 season onwards)

Pathetic feeble mentality with a shit show level of desire

bar the odd few they can all go and rot at other clubs. We have to start again, back to our old model of young hungry players and a young hungry manager etc

They are also suffering from the club being disliked by its own fans. We have many grievances on and off the pitch and they are part of a wider problem.

The whole club is having a wretched time.

I think the reason why so many fans are angry, is that on paper this team genuinely shouldn’t be where it is.

I think we’re furious at the board for having an absolutely tin pot mentality.

Angry at the previous manager for throwing the towel in when he didn’t get his own way, and sucking any ****s the players had out of them.

And ****ing fuming at the 11 ***** that take to the field, and clearly can’t be ****ing bothered to even try, because they know whatever happens they’re gone.

We are the ones who are left to witness the shit that follows, whilst they all saunter off into the sunset like it never happened.

At least in previous years we just lacked ability, and just couldn’t buy players good enough, but this season has just been about a group of people who are above their stations.

Forest and Everton are scrapping, even Leeds are scrapping and Southampton. We’ve had the same shoddy mentality as we’ve had all season, players dithering over new contracts, managers throwing tantrums and owners who won’t back the team….. it’s a ****ing farce, it’s the kind of shit that Netflix will want to record.

All football fans have ever asked for is a bit of ****ing effort, sweat a little bit, but we’re not even getting that.

Three games left, what this needs is someone to make the players realise what this club means to the fans. Our identity has been lost behind fancy training grounds a stadium plans…. We’ve lost sight of the project.

congratulations leicester city for putting together bigger team of mercenaries than nottingham forest who signed a london bus' worth of players in 12 months
