The main comparison to Villa would be our team when we finished 5th and won the FA Cup. Not saying they will do that but it put us ahead of the likes of Villa for players. Everything we have done since has been about trying to cut corners and just about get by because no way that team could go down. The anyone calling it out was basically told to know their place and appreciate what we had achieved. 

I don't think we were a more appealing than Villa start of last season. Their trajectory is clearly going up, with a big amount to spend. We were seemingly fine just hanging on.

Having seen Cov, they will beat you unless you dramatically improve.

We've actually played not too badly but cannot score for toffee since that first game.

 

So probably be 1-0 or something.

@Phube Saw your comment in the match tread about what is the best we’ve done at the start of a season.
 

So I’ve had a look at the 11v11 website and the best I can find:

 

1899/1900 - Undefeated for 13 games. 9 wins / 4 draws.

 

1925/1926 - Undefeated for 8 games. 4 wins / 4 draws.

 

1964 / 1965 - Undefeated for 6 games. 2 wins / 4 draws.


1973 / 1974 - Undefeated for 6 games. 3 wins / 3 draws.

 

1991 / 1992 - Undefeated for 7 games. 6 wins / 1 draw.

 

2000 / 2001 - Undefeated for 8 games. 4 wins / 4 draws.

 

2013 / 2014 - Undefeated for 6 games. 4 wins / 2 draws.

 

2015 / 2016 - Undefeated for 8 games. 5 wins / 3 draws.

 

2019 / 2020 - Undefeated for 5 games. 3 wins / 2 draws. 
 

2023 / 2024 - Undefeated for 6 games and counting! All wins. 
 

This is our best ever start to a season.

So far he has only done well under Cooper at Forest and struggled under others

 

Warnock suggested he has a bit of an attitude problem as well

As did Conte. Also you'd think clean slate under Ange might have worked for him but he clearly wants nothing to do with him either.

Not worried at all by Leeds, their defence is still a mess, they'll be a laugh to watch but they're going to draw/lose a lot more than us

Some very good players they have. Interested how they cope and how they do.

Will definitely be a good challenge for our squad. 

 

In general intrigued how we'll do against teams of a higher calibre.

Can you rank Championship clubs in terms of Squad Depth as I'm not really familiar with the championship, I think we are first, South second, then leeds/Norwich other than that I've no clear idea who comes after...

Leeds could be very good going forward. They'll be a test of our extremely slow and ponderous defence but if we can prove as a unit that defensively we're quite solid then we ought to go on to get a top 2 finish IMO.

Swansea have banned food and drink on their coaches, which are mandatory to travel on, for their fixture at Cardiff lol

 

Is that even legal, to ban food?!

Sounds like Big Nige is getting the hump with Bristol City & not being given any of the Scott money to spend when he’s got a small squad that’s relying on the academy as it is. 
 

And a lesson to a certain midget about how to do it in a less dickheady way

He'll be gone before we play them. 

 

He's been royally screwed by Lansdown. 

 

Stabilised the club, saved them from FFP sanctions, saved / made Lansdown a lot of money, yet not been provided with any of the benefits of the work he's done...
