Apparently anyone taking the piss is obsessed and jealous of Leeds but if it was us who fell apart they'd be doing the same.

Leeds are a big club measured by number of hometown supporters.  And weren't they once regarded as one, due to prominence and success in the League/Europe?  But in 2024, they stand out only for consistent failure in the moments that could have re-established the club.

Neutrals hate Leeds because their fans give it even bigger than those of genuinely successful and big clubs.

If you want to dish it out, (a) you’d better have the cattle to go with that big Stetson hat, and (b) you’d better be able to take it when you have it coming.

Leeds fans have nothing to brag about ... but holy crap, do they brag.

And holy crap, do they dish it out.  But they can’t handle getting any back, because any contact with reality explodes their mythos that LUFC are still a club that matters.  In their minds, Leeds United = Manchester United.   In the real world, Leeds = Sunderland (without the documentaries).

For all their crowing, since Leeds last won a major trophy Leicester have won a league title, an FA Cup and two League Cups. Their last FA Cup final was over 50 years ago!

And Leeds haven't won a final since 1972, including a 100% failure rate in the play offs.

We've also spent more time in the top flight than them as well.

The fact McKenna went from favourite for the Chelsea, Man United and Brighton jobs to signing a long term Ipswich deal lol

Reckon it was just all speculation with Chelsea and Man Utd and that they had no contact with him.

They should have a lot of hometown supporters, Leeds is the third biggest one-club city in Europe behind Napoli and Marseille. It would be embarassing if they didn't have a big following.

Been going on for years, interesting to see them finally make their move.

I always thought Red Bull would likely end up at MK Dons, seeing as the club as no proper history and a name change to a Red Bull MK, Red Bull Dons wouldn't get so much of an uproar.

Leeds fans would be little concerned if the massive changes. I somehow doubt they would rename to Red Bull Leeds, up roar from supporters would prevent this.

But maybe seeing Elland Road renamed perhaps. Red Bull Stadium or maybe saving Red Bull Leeds for just the stadium name.

Of all the clubs I'm gob smacked they've got into Leeds. Shows the danger American investors pose to traditional clubs.

They'll be Red Bull Leeds within a decade.

I very much doubt it, they have a fanbase that actually gets the arse with things.

I would say there's no chance they'll ever be called Red Bull Leeds outside of opposition fans on the wind up.

You're dreaming if you think those that would be arsed won't be vastly outnumbered by those who'd put up with literally anything for the prospect of winning things and spending loads of money. Same as basically any other fanbase in this country. There is no depth that won't be sunk to now.

To be fair, the Leeds kit with red bull sponsoring... that's powerful enough for Red Bull in itself at the minute. They'll basically look like RB Leeds without being called that. That's the power of the RB brand.

They've played a blinder, take advantage of them now they need the finances for another season. Similarly it's clever accountancy from Leeds doing it now to help them get through next season in good shape.

They kicked off at crap badge, trying to change the name would be a step too far precisely because they're a bunch of apes
