America surely makes quite a lot of sense for him?

Id love him to stay but it doesn’t make much sense and he’d need to take a huge pay cut

He either retires or stays. I don’t see him leaving.

I also think one other “big” player stays. We have so many who are meant to leave, we’ll get to a stage where one has to stay because we don’t get the offer we want and have sold enough to dig our heels in. You then build around that player and Vardy.

We love him to bits, But it is time for him to go with our love and blessing. He's been a terrific servant.

Even with a 50% salary reduction he'd still on something like 75k. a week. We can't be paying anyone 75k a week to sit in the Stand.

Time to pick up a big signing on Fee with a season or two in America. to replenish his Bank Balance.

I have a hunch he'll retire

I hope he does. I don’t like to see top players drop down the divisions and struggle even more. He scored 3 goals last season . We can’t pay someone 140k a week to repeat that in the championship.

Of course he does. The only club he will get away with robbing money from for a 3rd year on the trot

I wish we knew how to part ways at the right time

Why on earth would he retire and throw his wages away?

He’s on £145,000 a week.

So, approx £600k a month (£7.2 million a year).

So yeah, he ain’t retiring.

Just like Evans and one or two others, it will depend on who comes in. So many managers think he's still prime 2016 Vardy and if whoever gets the job tells him he's still the man, he'll take the cut and stay.

Fact is there are very few top flight clubs that need his  services. Brentford to cover Toney? Brighton to cover Europe? Even if the promoted ones take a gamble they might struggle to give him the wages he wants anyway.

Only way he retires is if America is suddenly appealing. If he isn't going to be playing here and there's no other offers, he might just decide to call it a career but I think he'd want one last hurrah.

He deserves more. But...

The only other strikers we'll have are Daka and Hirst.

So he'll want the money and we'll need the player.

Might not be if he has the rumoured relegation clause.
