Tielemans63 Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 I actually think that's a decent move for him. No hard feelings from me, hope he does well. 3

Vlad the Fox Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 Stood a few yards from me last night signing autographs for a group of kids playing football. If I’d have known this I’d have kneecapped him Joking aside though I have no real hard feelings towards him, however he does strike me as a player who will burn out and be past it at a very young age.

I love Izzet as much as the next Leicester fan, but he was still a central part of a team going down, then leaving on a free (to Birmingham!! I mean if people have a problem with Villa, where do you start with Brum?) because we couldn't afford to keep him. People are still blaming Maddison and Barnes despite delivering great numbers, so not sure what your point is. The difference is Izzet is and was loved, Tielemans isn't and wasn't, even despite his storming arrival, his incredible collection of worldies and frankly, the best passing we've seen at the club in years. 1

HankMarvin Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 Overweight, unfit passenger majority of the time. Good if other players around him do the dirty work

He's always been a bit of a one-speed player, similarly to King, and he's obviously been affected by low levels lf confidence in him and players around him. Yet people still conflate this with being 'lazy'. 5
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 Villa fans are in for a treat if they get Youri Tielemans who played for us for his first couple of seasons and not Touri Yielemans who's blood type is rice pudding 3
South Shire Fox Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 (edited) Held off signing a new contract thinking he was going to get Champions League but the best he could manage was Aston Villa 😂. Worked well for you big lad. Will always respect him for the FA Cup but it really hasnt worked out how he planned Edited 10 June 2023 by South Shire Fox 1
Tielemans63 Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 ****ing mental that we didn't cash in when it was clear he wasn't signing a new contract. 2
breadandcheese Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 He's lost the legend status he should have after his FA Cup goal. All the talk of ambition, when gassing round the pitch for the last year and a half, driving the value down and leaving for nothing having contributed to the hole we are in.
ARM1968 Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 They’ve signed an absolute snail. Good luck to them both. Personally he got on my nerves.

I agree he's been gash this season but he'll always be remembered fondly for that goal. Might take a couple of years though!
foxy boxing Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 It's gotta sting when you think a "big club" is gonna come in for you but one doesn't so you have to settle for Villa. Not even the Arse we're interested!.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 This guy seems to lack motivation after few seasons at every club he’s been at. He’s no world beater, good luck Youri.

Lesta2014 Posted 10 June 2023 Posted 10 June 2023 Stark reality of how far we’ve falling since winning the FA cup.
