It's more that we have a bloated wage bill in fairness.

The supposed six that have been told they can leave are all likely paid pretty solid Premier League wages. That's a huge burden on our annual playing budget.

It's easy to say we can take a risk signing a player and offset it "when" we sell but that's zero sign of Soumare, Daka, Castagne, Souttar, Ward or Iversen actually imminently leaving.

Wrexham are after a keeper now that foster has retired. Maybe a chance to offload ward. He is a welsh international. Or sell him at a discounted price 😀

More to the point he's from Wrexham.

But I think that's people doing 2+2=5.

Even with their backing it'd be a massive wage drop.

That would be me. Yes he is from Wrexham. It’s a win win all round. Just trying to help the cause and support the grass roots

Someone on Reddit is suggesting the source is a Tier 1.5/2 source on Galatasaray, so not Percy levels but it seems more likely than not that something is afoot.

There's a ridiculous amount of Turkish / Gala journos and ITKs swearing absolutely blind it's incredibly far advanced as in imminently about to be announced.

Not a single peep from Percy, Tanner, et all nor any of the ITK lot here other than a few Leicester fan blogs just reposting the Turkish links.

5 year deal would be a major concern to me considering our track record.

Just watched a few highlights vids. Looks to have fairly tricky feet and quite nimble but end product leaves a lot to be desired. Finishing and final ball very hit and miss. Not sure he's too dissimilar to Wanya in that respect.

Just feels like another player we'll decide we don't rate and then can't shift so end up loaning to some cheap club for a sack of potatoes.

of the two goalies, iversen is FAR AND AWAY the worst with ball at feet. for the liverpool game last season he had the yips so bad that i thought he was going to stand in the back of his net so the players couldn't pass him the ball.

he can't even kick it off the deck.

so if we can only get rid of one then it should be Iversen. in the current set up, being able to pass the ball is over 50% of the goalkeeping. Savings the 3 or 4 shots on target is the rest.

They didn't really say much on Mavididi either did they?

Percy only jumped on the Hermansen noise too once the Danish press had all but confirmed he’d signed.

He just said he specifically knew Mavididi’s agent didn't he?

I didn't see that.

I can't remember but Fabrizio Romano called that one as genuine very early on in the thread.

I do agree but in the other hand we will never uncover hidden gems if we don’t take a bit of a punt. The alternative of buying a more known and established player brings its own risks as well. It’s the situation we are in now unfortunately and we have to rely on analysis and scouting  if we could get Rak on loan I’d be happier. I can’t see us bringing in two wingers.

It would suicidal to loan with an obligation to buy on a 5 year contract. They need to get rid as Tete and the chelsea reject are in front of him and on loans. Have no lessons been learned. Like many have already said, he had a good season 2 years ago but didn't do much last season. I know gala are champions league and we are championship and they require a higher standard but signing someone for 6 years is mental.

Reliable sources: Leicester have to sell before they can buy owing to the financial situation at the club

stuck this one through google translate, says it's a done deal. To be officially announced soon

My Turkish is non-existent but Google translate’s version of the article is suggesting that this is a loan deal with an option to buy at a release clause of €10M.

From Reddit:

"Hello guys, Gala fan here.
So, Yunus is in fact a left-footed right-sided winger. He had a terrific season with Adana Demirspor (they play in the Conference League this year and were coached by Vincenzo Montella during Yunus' time there) during the 2021-2022 season.

Yunus is a very nice players who doesn't shy away from taking on players 1by1, even though he isn't particularly pacey. He has good technique and can pass a ball very well though.

His biggest issues are for sure his physique, inconsistency and decision-making - in that sense he is a very raw player but with good potential imo.Unfortunately, he didn't look good at all with Gala neither this nor last season, hence why most Gala fans are pretty happy about his sale for 10M."

"As a Gala fan I must say he has all the talent a winger needs. and he was great at Adana where he was loaned two seasons ago. But he had the pressure of proving himself at the big stage when he came back and got overwhelmed with it which effected his game. Since he didnt perform here and we have Ziyech, Tete, and another Turkish prospect on the right wing we're happy with selling him for €10m. But we also realize that he can be worth much more in a place where he can gain his confidence back."

Agreed that we need to take a few gambles, just if 10 million euros in the price, that's not the price I want to be paying on a punt.

If it was 2/3 million euros with add ons should he reach certain appearances, with reasonable wages then I'd be happy. I'm just thinking, we need to be able to move a player on if it doesn't work out.
