But up until then he was the only player who had consistently played well and made the right decisions. Definitely a cut above.

Just love the way he's composed on the ball and constantly looking to recycle the ball, mostly forward. Combination will work well, especially with better players around him.

You don't need outstanding technique to find difficult passes if you can move and open up an easier space instead, probably why it was so easy for teams to just press Tielemans cause he simply couldn't run away

Looked great today, some great runs through the midfield

 

Him and Ricardo need to watch for players coming up behind them though, caught out a few times

Very clever player. His touch takes him away from opponents. Manages to create space for himself so intelligently. 

 

He will give the ball away on ocassions...if he didn't he'd be playing at the very highest level week in week out. 

Really impressed with him so far.

Noticeably 1/2 sometimes 3 steps ahead of the play in his head. Gave himself so much time and space and recycled the ball unbelievably well.

Yeah he lost his calm a bit at end of game made a few errors.

 

Every player will have bad moments in a game though, its if the good moments overshadow them, and I would say that was the case in this game.
