The chat from the pundits will be that Sunderland deserve more, but their keeper and the woodwork have stopped a couple of goals.

 

Even though we are not firing without a few injured players, we are making our opponents work hard and still getting our own chances.

Unlucky with the two opportunities that hit the post, but slightly fortunate to go in ahead at half time.

 

They have set up well against us and can play a little bit too. We’ve bottled our playing out from the back and we’re resorting to percentage football. We’re missing Wilf too.

Both teams have been good imho. Don't think we've been nearly as bad as some are making out. We could have had 3, easily.

We have looked quite poor that half. We’ve not dominated the ball and look exposed when they press forward. 
 

Sunderland have had to play at such a high tempo to compete though so I expect them to slow down considerably the longer the second half goes. 
 

keep it 1-0 and we should get more chance to attack later in the second half.

The game could have easily been 3-3 at HT, fortunate to maintain that lead despite the fact we got the post twice. Sunderland have played the best half of football any team has against us this season

Need to sharpen up 2nd half if we are going to win this. We've got lucky with Mads saving us a few times and that should have been a pen. Nacho crap and needs taking off before he's sent off and we need to stop being so sloppy in possession. Fair play to Sunderland though, they are pressing us well, stopping us playing and looking very dangerous themselves. No doubt Enzo will make tweaks as he won't be happy with that 1st half
