Looking at Hamza and Luke Thomas, it shows how very average players can be made to look good when surrounded by very good players (well at least worlds apart from the levels we have now).

 

Thinking about them in the Leicester team that came 5th in the Premier League two seasons running.

Hamza was a disgrace tonight. Lucky to not have given a penalty away and spent most the game out of position. Aluko needs a run at left back and hamza needs moving on.

Not that he should be playing there but anyone trying to claim he put a better performance than Luke would have done is deluded! The constant being forced inside and losing possession during the first half and second half I think is up there with the worst 45 minutes I’ve witnessed from a “professional footballer” and I like the lad. The fact Marti couldn’t see he was a liability and at least replace him either Aluko or Luke is shows how far out of his depth he is.

He's no world beater but Woyo Coulibaly is rumoured to be coming back / might already be back, and he can play left back.

 

Hamza never has been, isn't and won't ever be good enough to play for Leicester. At least with Woyo I don't know that for sure... yet

Well he was somehow as bad as Thomas. He's just got no discipline to every aspect of his game and that's what holds him back more than anything.

This is a bit of a myth. He'll charge around for a bit and fly into a tackle so can't deny that. But then when it really matters, he walks around and completely switches, not even putting in the bear minimum effort required. Effort means staying switched on at all times. He just wants to put effort in when it suits him.

Hes overrated especially by some fans, ive never got the hype. If Wilder had have stayed on at Sheffield United during the summer i think his deal would have been permanent.

He's always been lower championship/ Div 1 at best. The fact that he often plays as our skipper tells you everything about where we are as a club. I wanted him jettisoned years ago. Yet now the coaster is wearing the arm band 🫣

Was lucky not to be sent off really should've been book at east once in the 1st half then did that terrible tackle in the second half.

 

He's just not switched on enough, goes to sleep and loses his marker so often. He caused a lot of the issues in the last 30 mins against Ipswich too by just not tracking.
