Unless he’s denied a goal scoring opportunity, then it can’t be a red and a penalty.

Wrong, dangerous play is dangerous play.

Doesn't matter if he wins the ball, it's unbelievably reckless and he goes through the knee with his studs at height and with pace. It's a foul because it's dangerous play and it's a penalty.

Should have been a red then, if he's giving Fatawu one for that where he hasn't even caught the player. Ridiculous

That's an absolutely absurd decision.  It's a yellow no doubt but that's never a red card no matter how you look at it.  It's no worse than the tackle that got us our penalty.  Where was the red then in that case?

Ref has lost his head there

Yes it can if it's deemed dangerous and reckless

Ref completely suckered in by the crowd, players reaction and wanting to even up the penalty. Was a silly challenge from⁸ Fatawu though.

I actually love the way he flies into stuff.  One of the things that make him so great to watch. He's so fast twitch and springy like when he's defending back post and outjumps everyone despite his size. Challenge was reckless but never a red. Hope Enzo doesn't try to coach the crazy out of him

He's got both of those calls pretty much bang on.

You stupid 😂😂 thats is a tackle not off the ground clearest yellow you will ever see

Just didn't need to get involved. We had the lead, nearly half time, safe area of the pitch with emotions high, just don't lunge in.

Commentator is absolutely tapped in the head going on about how bad of a challenge that was, it's a firm yellow and nothing more, when you combine that with not sending the coventry player off the ref has fully bottled it here

So if he smacked him in the face it wouldn’t be a red? Dangerous play is dangerous plat, wherever on the pitch it is

Classic case of a ref thinking he made too many decisions one way then over reacting the other. Oh well, another test for this team.

Definitely did it to even things up!

Gives the penalty because we’d appealed for a couple already. Gives that clear yellow a red because he gave the penalty. What a shambles.
