I actually think he did okay. He was up against Billing and Scott who are far superior.

He wasn't as bad as made out. But there's a clear difference in quality and experience.

Having a stinker

Not really. He started off pretty well and wanted the ball and found a few decent passes but the yellow card obviously means it's a good idea to take him off. Not sure why people on here like to slate Young players when they first come into the team, especially as he has actually done ok tonight.

Nobody likes to slate young players.

Why not just call it as you see it regardless of age - He was absolutely miles off it.

Bit concerning if that’s the best we have in the academy at the moment.

I thought he was out of position a lot personally, I think Wanya Marcal has done well

Miles off it is way over board. Was I amazed by him? No. Did he do OK for his first start against a premier league team? Yes

Pace of the definitely got to him, few of his challenges in lower leagues would be ace. But premier league quality is that smidge quicker

Yes they ****ing do. Any player who spent a second in our academy is slated

I've gone over this before, but that's just nonsense.

Take last night in isolation - I'd say the majority had Hamza as their MOTM. Wanya was widely praised. Rightly so on both as well.

The Ben Nelson thread is full of people commenting how he's going to be the next big thing...and he's only played a few games! (I'm fully aboard that train as well though btw).

Raikhy looked like he was playing in a different time zone last night. Absolutely nowhere near the level. Don't really see anything wrong with expressing that opinion - It's just what I saw on the pitch. It's weird that people get so defensive.

Yes and we agreed to disagree last time. It's not you that people are talking about when they say it. It's match thread, weird opinions about players that have come through our academy etc. There's even negative comments about KDH sometimes and he's the best player in the championship

The standard for ex-academy players is way higher than others. But I wasn't commenting on Raikhys performance in particular
