it is really beginning to grate.

I get that some people don't understand football - we're not the only club to have that segment of fans. But even if you don't, at least try and enjoy the success, no?

It's beyond frustrating, all you get all game is FFFFOOOOORRRWWAAARRRDDDD in your ear. Can't you engage your brain for 3 seconds to see we're pulling the opposition from one side to the other trying to pull the out of position or draw them out abit all whilst tiring them out because they're doing all the running.

The best thing is, they all complain when we did have target men we tried to hit and they didn't instantly win every ball ever sent their way because that made them shit and the team shit for doing it.

In the eye of the beholder isn't it? Games in which one team is a lot better than the other (i.e. almost all of our games this season) are rarely edge-of-your-seat thrillers. If we do what looks likely and bounce straight back up, the method by which we do so could not be much less important to me. I understand people have their preferences when it comes to style and nonetheless I am still continually surprised by just how angry and frustrated a lot of our fans are because although we're dominating the league, we're not doing it the exact way they think we should be

A lot of our fans just love slagging the team off. It’s second nature to them. They love creating future problems. Why they are even talking about next year is stupid. Let’s get out of this league first. Enzo’s plan seems to be working.
Just take the wins. I don’t go to enjoy a game of football, I go to see my team win. I would take 17 scrappy wins to see this season out.
I remember under Brian Little we shipped goals for fun but kept a winning run going. Quite a few 3–2 wins, but nobody bitched they were just glad of the win. The current generation can’t accept mistakes and the fact the players are human and playing to a system dictated by the manager.

I largely agree, but there were occasions today where midfielders were getting the ball in there own half and just a quick look forward and they could have progressed the ball. But sideways and back. It's almost like they feel guilty to break quickly if they turn over possession! Given this, we are still killing it, though. Obviously!

Job done.

Promotion is all that matters and in this league getting results consistently is all that matters. Even Pearsons team had some horrendous games in the 100 plus season. Get the points on the board and get out.

Massively bored for the majority of that. Swansea were terrible. We played pretty poorly for large parts but won easily.

Roll on next season.

I agree with almost all of that but I'm not convinced it's a generational or age thing. I'm sure there are some impatient younger fans but equally there are older ones who won't stand for all this tippy tappy nonsense and don't see why we can't just get it in the mixer and win every game 6-0

I thought Swansea looked decent with the ball, but their dreadful defence always offered us chances. At times it was one for the tactical nerds. The frustrations of the players and crowd made us push forward when we weren’t in control, which opened up opportunity for Swansea on the turnover and transition. Patience is key in modern football. When they held possession they didn’t look a threat.

It’s another win at the end of the day. Played 17 won 16 against bottom half teams now and I think 8 more wins will be enough from our last 17 (assuming we don’t lose the other 9).

They were poor, we were good enough. Missed some good chances, unlucky on others. Result the main thing. Switched off after half time and invited 10 mins of Swansea showing more ambition. Need to smell blood when our opponents are there to be taken apart.

KDH ad Mavididi outstanding first half, great to have Winks back. Doyle whom I no great fan of looked much better tonight. Kasey unfortunately not back at earlier season level, Fattawu will surely take up the role again for Saturday.

Thought we played some nice stuff looking really exciting, entertaining and dangerous, at times, when we decided to look up and play through the lines, unfortunately those times we're few and far between, we started well then had another spell mid-to-late in the second half, the void left in the middle of those spells was a hard watch, we equally looked clueless at other times.

Akgun came on, changed the game, gave us the energy we were lacking.

Very boring. We match shit opposition look average at best when we attempt to play out from the back especially when leading in matches. We invite pressure.  We should of won by a higher margin but I’m just not convinced playing this way in the premiership next season will work. Time will tell with hopefully better players coming in the summer.

Felt we were really poor defensively progressing and passing the ball tonight.

Vestergaard was hitting balls yard or so either side of where they should. Faes seemed to switch off a few times. And between the two gave some horrendous passes.

Why would we stop playing out the back if we are winning? That part of the game won’t change.

Strange night. 3 goals and a win, but poor game and largely poor performances all around. Really poor atmosphere. Probably my least favourite game of the season.

I thought overall Doyle was excellent tonight, our best defender and a lot of the fluid play we saw was from him. He's suspect at defending crosses though.

I only caught the end of second half , so glad he had a good game

Thought we looked really good for the first 15 to 20 mins but looked dull and at times quite poor after up until we scored again. There is a real joyless feel to this season both on the pitch and in the stands. I think its partly just a symptom of the way modern football has gone but the possesion at all costs style play really isn't a fun watch even though its effective. Its made worse by the fact we are clearly levels above most of teams we play. I'm also more convinced than ever that we will be annihilated by most prem sides if we keep playing this way next year. We won't play any side as bad as Swansea in the prem and their pressing had us under the cosh for most of the 2nd half until we got a dodgy pen to pull away from them. Gonna have to be some major changes to our style of play if we're to have a chance of staying up.

Good win.

Did you switch it off at 85 mins and go out to the kitchen to beat the tea rush?
