I think us missing 3 or 4 sitter and making to errors may have helped.

Their keeper didn’t have much to do, but you can’t say we didn’t have the chances to at least get a point. Frustrating game. Looking forward to Friday though, just avoid defeat and we are almost there

Could see that result coming. Can't comment on performance but it's one of our lives gone. In terms of the breathing space we have.

No time for panic but could really do without playing Leeds next. Must not lose.

Terrible timing for a terrible result. Lose to Leeds and the doubt will start to set in.

I fear this is now going to turn into a fight, I just hope we’ve got the minerals to limp over the line.

"We've" not got the minerals if "we" includes you.  At least based on your last dozen posts.

First goal was offside.

Second goal we gifted them.

Their number 5 should have been sent off though. These officials are getting as bad as Premier League ones.

Can't afford many more slip ups this season. Seasons gone by in the Championship we'd be well away but it's quite incredible to have 3/4 teams all so far out in front

Personally felt it was a game that's very similar to most performances this season with regards to dominating and chances.

Had 6 clear cut chances today and didn't take them

Always give away 2 or 3 chances and they buried them

Only concern was the decision making and lack of looking like a team, hopefully it's a one off and we tighten up against Leeds.

We could really have done with winning that one going into the Leeds match. Hopefully it gives us a bit of wake up call and if it inspires on to a positive result at elland road it won’t be the end of the world.

Sloppy, especially defensively when trying to guard against their counter, but it’s one of those where we’ve created five golden chances and scored one. On another day we win that comfortably, but that’s what happens when a bit of complacency and sloppiness kicks in.

One thing I will say though, and not for the first time, is that I can’t work out the subs. Mavididi was poor, but he’s put Cannon out wide to get on the end of Fatuwu’s far post crosses and then taken Fatuwu off early in the second half. We are then left with no one who can beat a man and a striker out wide.

KDH, Mavididi and Fatawu being totally off it today was probably our biggest problem.

One of those. Middlesbrough set up well and got 2 goals from mistakes.

Anyone able verify their first goal. It looked offside (but at a dodgy angle) and a foul on Justin in the build up. But might be wrong.

We played Enzo ball... the same often, boring, predictable football.

For 60 minutes we just faffed about until it got urgent. No, I dont want hoofball, no im not saying we need to play 44fvcking 2... im saying the first half looked like a trainign run even when we were behind, we had no plan other than pass pass... which failed.

The substitutions were shambolic but at least it created some urgency, our attacks prior to 60 minutes were the same, the same, the same. We were completely out thought and out played..

The Enzo happy clappers are no better than the Rodgers happy clappers. Yes he is a million times better than BR, but there are massive flaws an we and he should acknowldge them.

On the good side, the last half an hour was rivetting and exciting even though it was ultimately disapointing, imagine if we played with that tempo and excitment from the start.

We go again on Friday.... and hopefully get three points closer to promotion.

This is insane. He's got us top of the league, comfortably, by playing his brand of football and somehow this isn't good enough for you? No club is free of flaws - even the great Man City look shaky at right back, or weaker without Rodri starting, but to even begin to compare what we have now to Rodgers is just stupidity.

I wouldn't swap Maresca for any other Championship manager or most of the current Premier League crop. I imagine you like 'Ange-ball', don't you?

This ref was a premier league one. If they have a bad game they get inflicted on the championship for a week

I think this might have been game management to an extent. Resting key players for Friday? Not totally without criticism, but Fats was blowing when he came off

Too many players had an off day, Winks, KDH, Mavidi, Abdul, Ricky P, JJ, Vesty all looked well below there best. Funnily enough, so many talk about Enzo's philosophy and how he won't change, but at the end I'm sure Vesty was playing as a make shift striker.

After watching today, one thing is for certain.

Leeds will absolutely rip us to bits with pace if we are even anywhere near what we were today. Silveira was excellent but Jannik and Faes were both miles off it. We were exposed time and time again. Gnonto and Summerville have a field day if it’s that bad again on Friday.
