One is a right sided holding midfielder, not particularly impressively defensively (check out his stats) but a great leader with good energy, good positional sense and very consistent. One is a left sided attacking midfielder, a strong runner with the ball who looks to assist and score goals. The only thing they have in common is that they are both midfielders. Yeah, ones won the premier league and the champions league, played for his country several times. The other one has won the championship. They don't have a lot in common.
hackneyfox Posted 15 May 2024 Posted 15 May 2024 Liverpool signed Henderson, have they shown any interest in a one footed player who constantly releases the ball at the wrong time?
boosmanana Posted 15 May 2024 Posted 15 May 2024 Jordan Henderson is a better footballer and has accomplished far more in his career than KDH ever will. That's not a dig against KDH, he's had an excellent season, but it's pointless comparing him to someone on a totally different level 2

Never impressed for England and has struggled to perform in Saudi Arabia and the Eredivisie since leaving Liverpool. The gap in ability between Henderson and Dewsbury hall isnt that big. A league title and a champions league flatters Henderson for the player that he is, Albrighton isnt a better player than Saka because he won the league for example. 1
sm1 Posted 15 May 2024 Posted 15 May 2024 Comparing the honours that Hendo has won to KDH is pointless. Hendo is coming to the end of his career whilst KDH hasn't even reached his peak. When Hendo was 25, KDHs age, he'd won nothing. Let's wait and see where KDH career goes before making assumptions. 2

Liverpool nowadays wouldn't sign Henderson. In the early 2010s Liverpool would sign any English player that showed promise, it took Henderson multiple seasons to come good. Henderson came in a transfer window when they signed Stuart Downing for £20 mil and Charlie Adam for £7 mil, Dewsbury Hall would have been a textbook signing for them back then. Now they're signing top players like Endo, Sozbolai and Macallister. Someone like Henderson is simply not on the radar of these players talent wise and wouldn't have broken into the first team if he signed for liverpool now.

Popular Post frany104 Posted 5 June 2024 Popular Post Posted 5 June 2024 For £40 million….. I would sell. He’s not worth that at all and that would be a great sale. Hopefully would give us enough to cover PSR and some to bring in a replacement. Shame as he’s one of our best players and a local lad but £40 mill is a good price. 6

It’s a real shame, but £40m (portion of whatever we need, paid before 30th June), to good too turn down Edited 5 June 2024 by FoxinNotts

foxfanazer Posted 5 June 2024 Posted 5 June 2024 We won't turn down £40m. He's pretty much our only sellable asset and that price is more than fair. A shame but just another cost of our poor running

GingerrrFox Posted 5 June 2024 Posted 5 June 2024 I just don’t get the logic of selling Gallagher and bringing in KDH? They are such similar players and yet Gallagher has the Chelsea connection, he’s a fan of the club, the fans love him and he’s been captain of the side for the majority of the season with Reece James unavailable. Where’s the sense in selling an academy product and bringing in a left footed carbon copy? 1
