They can forget any notion of nabbing Vardy but if Wrexham want one of our out-of-contract players, Albrighton would run riot in that division, whipping those crosses in. I wouldn't rule out a third successive promotion if they were to sign him up.

A Leicester legend in every sense. Overcame a difficult start to cement his spot and achieve the Greatest Escape. Won the PL, FA Cup and Community Shield, scored our first ever Champions League goal and got another in our win over Sevilla. And now part of the squad that bounced back at the first attempt, helping us to win the Championship title for a record eighth time.

While League One is below his level, he deserves to play for an upwardly mobile club intent on achieving more success. If that isn't going to come at Championship level, I think he'd have a lovely time in North Wales.

And a bit of international celebrity to boot!

Maybe go back to West Brom if they stay down.

Their fans couldn't wait to get rid of him last season. Booed his every touch in one game I saw on TV.

Wasn’t he frozen out for most of the first season by NP ? I seem to remember a bit of a spat when his missus went on Face Book to have a dig at his treatment . His appearance stats would’ve been great but for that

The story goes he went from being one of Villa's fittest players to being our least fittest in pre-season. Pearson was obviously up on all the sports science and analysis and Marc didn't cut it for about 3 months. Not sure an extra 20 appearances would have made much difference but even so Mahrez and Knockaert were out wide at the start of that season.

One of the many issues I have with Enzo's philosophy is the massive misuse of Albrighton this season.

Id love to ask him why he's laughing because Albrighton does more in a minute than our wingers had all game against Blackburn. He wouldn't have been laughing if Bristol, Millwall and Plymouth games cost him promotion, his job and reputation.

Odd take because I don't think leaving Albrighton out the side cost us those games. Woeful finishing from our strikers ("Leicester's Greatest" especially at Bristol) was more accurate. I'd have played him more but I'm not sure he would have been ahead of Fatawu and Mavididi in most people's starting XI until our blip.

My curveball is Sheffield United. Would fit right in to the way Wilder sets his teams. His crosses would be an absolute dream for someone like Brereton Diaz.

It sure as hell was a better option. It wasn't just not playing Albrighton. It became a stubbornness after not getting Sensi. He managed to make the most in depth squad in the league look into a tired 12-14 man squad with so many devoid of confidence because of it.

We get over the line in the end and he's saved his narrative. It could all have been very different though.

Absolutely love the bloke.

I almost wish he didn't go on loan to WBA, with his character I think we could have done with him in the trenches for us during our relegation scrap.

Probably wouldn't have made much difference ultimately, but the fact he puts the effort in when some players were clearly not giving everything (YT!) would have been enough to include him for me.

I think Wrexham is a great shout tbh. I think he’s definitely Championship level but could see him being drawn to that project even if it’s League 1 for now.

Either that or perhaps he would even go to the MLS to play for Beckham and Messi. Leo would be proper excited

Any player who actually plays first team football for over a decade with one club (lets ignore his loan away spell) is part of the furniture. He can put his boots up and look back with pride while going on to do whatever new fills his boots.

All the best Marc.

He must have a love hate thoughts about his time here.

The obvious for love.

But the tragic loss of his mum and Vichai must weigh heavy.

Like to see him back some day working with the kids.

Vichai and his (wife's) mum only happened to happen while he was under contract, but why would that lead to hate?

If anything he seems utterly grateful of the least expected success story ever.

Apart from the very beginning under Pearson, there was never an ounce of discontent from his camp. He's won the PL, FA Cup, Charity Shield and scored in the CL while reaching the latter stages of European football twice. He would never have believed his luck after being let go by Villa...

Genuinely one of our greatest ever. PL and FA Cup winner, second highest assist maker in the PL era, first ever Champions League goal scorer. All on a free transfer.
