Another sorry chapter in one of our worst signings in recent memory. Shoots when he should pass, and passes when he should shoot. Zero spatial awareness and the game seems to elude him most of the time.

Guaranteed place in RM's next Starting XI then!

Playing him and Cullen in the same squad is a crime against humanity. Both lightweight, slow, anonymous and timid. Tbf to BDCR, In Cullen we have found an even more ghostly presence.
Today for whatever reason Martin decided to play these two ephemeral wisps of nothingness in his starting 11.

Playing 9 (with 2 additional on field spectators) v 11 was a very bad call. If he keeps his job and repeats that again I think someone should call the authorities. At least we only have this last season with BDCR. Fkin Cully is with us for 2 more seasons after this one

Never seen a player slow down the play as much as this helmet

There’s one other player that springs to mind - Leicester City’s Liam Cullen.

He has been awful for 2 seasons and has continued those poor performances in league one yet he still keeps starting.

When does the madness end? Have we ever had a player be this bad for 3 straight seasons in a row without being dropped?

Buying Cullen was stupid, but buying him when we already had Reid was next level

I really hope he reads this thread.

I've deconstructed his game on here from just about day 1, after his spirited, but woeful, debut v Spurs..

And I can easily break down his game, because, he does exactly what I would do on the pitch if suddenly thrown in at that level.

Quick flicks round the corner to 'get rid' in an enterprising way. Basic side foot passes,.some occasionally  inside the full back (but not correctly weighted). Unable to keep up with play. Mentally a step behind the play. Ineffective balance and centre of gravity. No core strength. Makes himself look busy pressing to disguise the fact he's not contributing. Edit, the lazy leg 'tackle' which the opponent skips over with nonchalance)

The only difference between me and any other competent amateur in the stands is 6 days a week specialist training and 'professional football' on his CV.

It's hard to work out that managers, coaches and analysts - who all devote their lives to the game (regardless what you make of RM, these people live the game 24/7) - fail to see that the fella is a fake.. He ain't a footballer. He knows it himself. This thread knows it. But coaches and managers and analysts don't.

Thomas, Reid, Cullen and likely many, many more.

What is our bizarre obsession with professional footballers, who must hate playing with above average wind.

I couldn’t name a less physically intimidating bunch of lazy dossers.

Actually played a couple of nice passes to Alves. Undid it all by doing nothing useful apart from that.

There used to be a feeling that Andy King could be anonymous on the pitch but this bloke genuinely is.

Absolutely despise the bloke, offers absolutely nothing in any of the positions he’s found himself in here. Another player who can’t run, can’t press, can’t retain the ball, makes terrible in game decisions, can’t get back and what I noticed so much today was he was always in the way! The “senior pros” in this squad are a disgrace.
