Nothing more pleasurable than seeing Chelsea lose. You wouldve thought towards the end that they would've tried to get something from that game but that's not Maresca's style.

How pleased am I that we didn't have him this season gods knows where we would be now. At least we have a manager that's instilled a bit of fight in the players.

I was never fully sold on Maresca's philosophy but I don't think he'd have been any better or worse than Cooper to be honest.

We'd have likely kept Dewsbury-Hall and made some different signings.

I think we'd have probably taken a proper pasting by now though.

Why? The VAR is a fully qualified referee.

Because that’s simply how it works, isn’t it. The ref is in control of the game. He goes to the screen on the advice of VAR, final decision is always down to the referee.

No way was KDH staying, he had to go to comply with PSR.

Ah yeah.

Regardless, it's all ifs and buts.

I'm not very confident in Cooper and I'm not sure I would be with Maresca either. I think that the problem is, largely, a deeper lack of faith that the club is being ran correctly.

So we can't question this?

What’s the longest a team has gone without winning a game to start a season? So far it’s Saints, Ipswich, Wolves & Palace still waiting

It took Bournemouth 10 games to win last season and still finished 12th, so best we don’t get ahead of ourselves just yet

Don't know but I remember Palace having a really shocking start under De Boer a few years ago

There really is the possibility this season of finishing anywhere between 10th and 18th.

17 matches apparently (EPL).

No you can, of course and it’s not totally a bad suggestion. It’s the same with most sports that have a review system though. DRS in cricket, it goes back to the umpire. TMO the ref still makes the final signal.

Yeah, he had to be sacrificed to save us from further punishment by the EPL. Sad really as that move to Chelsea was definitely not the right one for his career. He needs to escape from there ASAP.

In Cricket the Umpire only signals what the TV Umpire tells him to do. Which is essentially what i'm suggesting happens in football.

We could all see it wasn't a penalty. Didn't need the referee to waste time going over to the screen when the VAR should just be able to tell him that actually the keeper got the ball and he needs to reverse his decision. There's no reason to go to the screen in those instances. It's all a performative "look at me".

Was that Sheff Utd? The season Vards scored in the last minute around December and snapped the corner flag? I'm sure they hadn't won at that point

I think so, yes.

Lad will be loaned to newcastle, fulham or westham in january. Cant see him ever being a Chelsea player long term. Must be a gentlemans agreement to help us out for maresca and ffp via the backdoor. 😆

KDH has played 44 minutes this season in 3 games. 1 game each in FA cup and league cup. 1 assist.

What a fookin waste like the others. I'm sure his bank account doesn't care but talk about wasting player careers.

played really well in the his last game though and got a goal. Got to really grind away for a shot, which is madness when they only signed him in the summer.

Really sad to see as it only takes a few years not playing and the wheels can completely fall off

Derby in 2008?

Seem to remember Derby actually won 1 quite early on, Kenny Miller 1-0 v Newcastle. Not sure how early into the season it was though

He just won MOTM. Chelsea look leaps and bounds better than last season.

Why the obsession?
