What makes me cuckle the most is Florist fans actually think they are in a title race!

They actually believe it too! The 'Cloughie' days are back!

Don't get me wrong it's great for the positive vibes but come on really?

They're three points above 13th ffs.

Daniel Levy was once apparently a huge fan of Rodgers. Not sure if still the case wonder if he'd dare nick another Celtic manager. Of course Rodgers would ditch them in seconds like last time.

He was linked to them while he was here, so if there was interest I expect he'd want it.

But tbh, what's the ceiling at Spurs?  A cup win at best surely? Is it worth the jump?  Money wise maybe, but in terms of winning?

I think cause of Tottenham interest think it lead to Rodgers getting a new deal 🫣

Thought that was Arsenal.

Yeah it was Arsenal not Spurs - winter 2019, after Emery left and we were doing well - including 8 wins (I think?) on the bounce and the 9-0 vs Southampton

It’s a much bigger club, only went back to sharpen up his image again

Tottenham fans really need to lower their expectations.

One trophy win in 20-odd years (?), and hardly many before that.

They have hardly seemed to hard change their recruitment and other strategies to move forward.

I don't want Brendan Rodgers to ever get to manage in the Prem again, especially not for a perceived bigger club.

Even if it would be memes if he was terrible. Doesn't matter. He avoided the stink of an actual relegation in a lot of neutrals eyes, he can't just do a year or two in Scotland and then just waltz back like a top manager.

I would love it.

Just one opportunity to stick it to the creep.

Well this is wrong

They were rank against Bournemouth and if you support them the inconsistency must be maddening and depressing in equal measure but are Spurs actually that far off where you would expect them to be? Their squad it seems to me is much closer to e.g. Newcastle, Villa and Brighton than it is to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. 6th would be about par and though it looks bad being below some of the teams above them, they're two points off and that's with a pretty heavily depleted squad that isn't exactly stacked with quality to begin with.

Their fans are understandably desperate for trophies and success but Levy and co. either don't give a shit about that or have no idea how to attain it - unless they bring in someone genuinely world class, what is a new manager realistically going to produce that all the others under that ownership haven't?

Maybe that is all nonsense and the equivalent of when thicko pundits/neutrals give us the "well what do they expect? Be careful what you wish for" treatment but they're always talked about as a team who should obviously be Champions League regulars and trophy winners and I can't see it.

Postecoglou's start has done a lot of lifting with his record at Tottenham. They've been inconsistent and fairly underwhelming for over a year.

Going the same way as previous managers- good start followed by a poor run and the coach slagging the fans/ club off before a sacking.

Reckon Potters holding out for Spurs?

Is Potter any better what they got now. Southgate may typically find himself being linked... even though we know Southgate is crap as a manager.

It's things like coming out in the press and poo pooing pragmatism like it's some kind of all encompassing theory and he's this enlightened thinker.

Really, it's a process of operating that looks at successful application OF theory to get the job done.

He's literally poo-pooing thinking about what could be successful.

Twitter rumours of Wolves wanting Coberán to replace O'Neil

That would REALLY piss off the Baggies fans 😂

Until he sends us down and their replacement takes them up.
