I would be leaving Vardy out of this one not as if we are going to win the game, give him some much needed rest so he is 100% for the next game which is winnable, would be also rest a few others no need for injuries and silly bookings

Hopefully we’re still in it later in the game and FB and Vardy can come into the game (probably in the 89th minute) and make an impact. 

This would be my team too. We don't lose anything defensively by playing Fatawu over Ayew. Fatawu is also as good in the air too. 

 

At least this gives us a small chance of creating some dangerous counter attacks too.

I am hopeful Justin is dropped for this one.  Positionally he hasn't a clue how to defend. Is always on the wrong side of the attacker, and switches off during games.  Riccy P please instead.

Arsenal will score 2 and ease up on us.  I think we are capable of scoring as we have scored in every game this season.

I did enjoy Arsenals 6-3-0 formation second half vs Man City yesterday. Maybe we go with that but with another DM!

 

One area Arsenal are particularly strong in which has been a weakness for us is corners. Would be tempted to go 3 atb to bring in another tall CB, play Ndidi and also Eduoard just for this. And hope the new set piece coach is an absolute genius!

 

Realistically they have better players, tactics and in-game management so we can just hope luck is on our side.

on a per 90 basis, Fatawu makes more tackles, wins a higher proportion of attempted tackles and wins more of his aerial duels as well.

 

there is not a metric on which you'd rather have Ayew. Fatawu is better in the air, better defensively, better at shot creating actions. best you can say is Ayew gets fouled more and gets more of his shots on target. but he doesn't score at a higher rate. he's absolute guff

We will copy what Arsenal did to Man City in the second half at the Emirates, just with 11 men.

I remember Puel beat Pep at home by playing Ndidi, Choudhury and Mendy in the middle of the park. I expect us to play Skipp, Winks and Ndidi, and at the back have Coady, Faes and Okoli. On current form it will probably be Mavididi and Vady as the two outlets.

 

I think Arsenal will win, but we will frustrate them for a long time playing this way. It might be grim to watch, but objectively it probably is the highest percentage way to play to hope to get something from the game. Them missing Odegaard and Merino plays into our hands. Keeping Saka quiet is the challenge.
