Him using Maresca's system is proof to me he has no actual plan of his own. He's not got a clue.

Him doing so 9/10 games into the season actually worries me. Certainly more than it would have done if he'd started the season with it. It shows that he doesn't have much confidence in whatever the hell it was he was trying to do previously.

Think its a 50/50, would expect ALL of the established PL teams to improve & get some surprise positive results, not sure that’s in the kit bag of any of the promoted 3.

What worries me are the summer purchases have been truly rubbish & add NO Premier League quality to that squad.  Ayes still isn’t very good BUT has scored 2 vital goals, but Skipp now seems not favoured, looking £20m well spent, BDCR & Edouard look an utter waste of time, Okoli shows some limited promise.

Will they gamble a little in Jan, suspect that will decide, if not will be very tight….HOPE it goes better than that:D

he's not even using Marescas system, he's just inverting the fullback. Kristensen doesn't then tuck in to form a back three, Ndidi isn't crashing the box or making the under laps for Fatawu. Ricardo coming into midfield is the only aspect of Marescas system that's being used.

then you look at the subs at the weekend, particularly Ayew on for Kristensen. ok, it did end up working with Ayew scoring but it's pure schoolboy tactics of "losing? throw more attackers at it"

Seems you're criticizing for the sake of it here. How you can criticize the decision for the subs given the impact they had, is just bizarre. Yes, they were beneficial circumstances against 10 men, but it rarely translates into a peppering like the one we saw.

I'm no fan of Cooper, but there's worthier things to criticise.

they worked this time but how often do we see managers do that and it amount to nothing, or even to less chances? He got lucky that Ayew scored but the decision to sub him on for Kristensen specifically was not one made by someone with tactical intelligence

It's either that or he's doing it due to pressure from the players. Not sure which one is a worse reflection on him as a manager tbh.

To be honest, having a look at those next 10 or so fixtures...I've got shivers.

Genuinely believe he's sacked midway through this run of games, and by the end of it could deffo see us drop to 18th-19th.

I don't think we are good enough overall. Maybe not as shit as I thought we would be but still shit enough to go down lol

I'd be amazed if it isn't us, Ipswich and Southampton to go down.

I think we stay up, but it’s going to be a long uninspiring season and I have concerns about next season if we do.

Vards, Mads, Pereira all got potential to move on.

Don’t think there is any chance we stay up personally with Cooper in charge. I don’t dislike the bloke, he’s nice enough, says all the right things, does all the wrong one. He’s just not good enough or organised enough. There is no real ruthlessness in him.

Have said no for now.

Seen enough under Cooper to realise that we're playing on a wing and a prayer. If we change manager and get someone who can improve the way we play then yes we could finish above 17th, I believe the players are good enough, it's just the management that isn't!

Persist with Pooper? = No, we’ll be relegated. Luck will run out.

Change it during the next international break to Kjulmand, Schmidt, Knutsen, Kovac etc? = Much better chance of finishing 12th-15th and building mid to long term.

The issue for me is the building mid to long term. Even if we do stay up with Cooper, and I think we will, I don't really want him here next season because we'll be in the same position. We need to bring someone in to build us into a good side.

Potter maybe, He seems to be itching to get back into the league.

He may have a choice of Clubs soon chasing him.

With Cooper no chance.

I don't think he's the man for us, but you have got enormous blinkers on if you think this is the case.

Saints & Ipswich are utterly useless, and Wolves/Palace/Everton have a lot of improving to do.

We may well go down, but the league is so tight that we're certainly not going to get cut adrift like everyone thought we might.

I don’t want us to get relegated but I can’t see how anyone enjoys this league more than the championship.

General feeling is the Championship was more enjoyable, but we were winning near enough every week. The rush from winning a PL game is significantly more satisfying though.

That opinion changes when your losing in the championship

Not really sure Wolves or Ipswich stand a chance to be honest. To be 10 games into the season without a win is horrific, I imagine Ipswich especially will be realing from Saturday.

I think Palace will be fine because they'll spend in Jan and probably carry on picking up the odd result as they have done since their first win.

Everton will be annoyingly okay wont they, no way they'll allow themselves to go down with that new stadium looming over them... it'll either be a dyche masterclass or someone new by January.

27 points would have been enough to stay up last season lol wouldn't be surprised to see the same again, if we pick up one win/3/4 points a month I think they stick with him this season throughout. It'll be horrific, but it'll achieve the ultimate aim.

Hopefully by some miracle we can have a full reset in the summer. (New owner/new direction etc)

Time will tell. I can see wolves, palace and Everton improving. Southampton will get rid of Mr ego sooner rather than later and get the new manager bounce. I just don’t like the mindset of the club and cooper when it seems to be relying on 3 sides worse than us. A decent coach and we imo comfortably stop up and finish between 12th and 15th. I don’t see that happening with Cooper.
