I don't think there's a lot in this league between 9th-17th ability wise, a mentality shift definitely needed. I like what he has said about going out to win every game, u could see with Maresca last season when we played Liverpool he relished the opportunity to compete against a better team, this season we have just set up to minimise the damage against Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Man utd

I mean from what I could tell we have done that every game, that's why the **** was so hateful. Against Everton a game we should have gone for the jugular at home, we go 1-0 and make hard work of equalising. In each week we seem to be getting worse. Truly awful. It needs a complete new coaching setup.

I’m willing to give this bloke time to rip this squad up and start again with a proper identity. It’s clear that we’ve got some decent assets surrounded by a tonne of shite. Just hope when we go down we don’t get utterly ****ed by the EFL else we’d walk it again next year. Any of these would be more than good enough in the Champ and even better than what we had last time out

I think his best chance is to try and win games 5-4 rather than make the defence good.

Realistically we aren’t spaffing the £10’s of millions we would need to in January in order to give ourselves a decent chance. Ruud will have to be an absolute miracle worker to keep us up and I doubt he will.

That's all well and good Steve but we have also taken the fewest shots and shots on target, have the longest average shot distance and are above only Ipswich for xG and touches in the opposition box. If you think they are indicators of a functioning attack that over the course of a season is likely to produce enough goals to keep a team as leaky as ours afloat then fair play.

I’m so skeptical of this and a huge gamble like this with decent ground still left to be made up just seems silly to me. But just give him the dosh we pretty much need a whole new defence

We have some of The worst general stats for attacking this season. We just convert a very good amount of the few chances we get.
