Okay, I see this get asked a lot, largely in conjunction to our PSR situation.

Capology is a website that provides salary information for the football.

Is it 100% accurate on salaries  - no.

Is it largely in the ball park - :punk::dunno:

However, the expiry dates will be correct.

If those wages are real, we have done some smart business.  The Mads new deal is absolutely crucial

Soumare on £80k/w lol

Surprised Justin is only on £30k or thereabouts according to that. Also I people think Nelson deserves a pay rise given he could well be a regular first team player next season.

Edouard at £90k a week - haha surely we’re only contributing to some of that. Otherwise it’s way more of a howler than we all think.

Surely he gets the rise when he breaks into the first team.

I recon some of them wages are miles out. Luke Thomas will not be on 15k a week, BDR will not be on £35k a week, probably Ayew as well.

Winks surely wasn’t given close to £90k a week in the championship 😂

Winks expires in 2026 not 2028

Pure speculation on my part but if that’s true, and his wages are true, I recon we might be tempted to sell soon if we get a half decent offer.

If Fatawu is on 10k a week until 2029 then that is the deal of the century! Gives us a lot of wiggle room to improve his terms and get him to stop longer.

Where have these wages been sourced from? Football Manager?

Some of these wages look way off like Fatawu and also probably Mavididi

Did you not read the OP at all?

Makes the point clear it could all be bollox.

Is Mads injured or refusing to play until he get's a fair wage lol

We cannot renew Vardy again if that's how much we are paying him

We offered Winks 90k a week in the Championship????

Makes me sick (jealous) when you see the money some average at best footballers are on

Surely he must appreciate that, and a contract offer will surely reflect his value in the market place and not all based on his legendary 🐐 status here.

For me, it just shows you have to bite the bullet and live within your means.  I know we stretched to turn 2 5ths into 4ths but it failed BUT we won the FA Cup.

But the problems we have had since we have won the cup and where we are now i.e. the new Burnley & Sheff Utd, if we go down in May, shows don't be held ransom to one player in negotiation, let it go and look for another.

Not even Vardy as great as he is kept us up 2 years ago and is struggling to do so this season, when likely already passed his best.

The list shows the big wedges generally don't pay, and never give anybody more than 4 years Edouard £90k, Coady like him but £75k, Soumare took 3 years to come good, Daka never quite got there, Vestergaard & Hamza got a new contract off the championship after being pants for seasons in the top flight, Skipp should have been £35k, we didn't need him anyway-what a waste of vital money this season.

Look at the best players, and even if they perform in or out they are value Stephy, the best Mads, Buananotte, BEK, Abdul.

Live with paying £70-80k tops, a few on £40-£50k, and the cheap ones are because we went down and picked them up then.

Learn from what has happened over the last 3-5 years, but we aren't.  Businesswise they don't have a clue, most people learn on the job, they aren't.  No one or two players will make the difference to us currently, walk away if you are not happy with the cost.

I mean who signs Souttar on a 5.5 year contract:jawdrop:

I don't trust Capology's number at all. Especially as lots of players have signed multiple new deals and will have had a wage increase on joining us.

Golding likely will have been on more than 8k pw at Chelsea, he would have joined on a higher wage especially considering it was a multimillion pound fee. At a minimum I'd expect he'd be on 10 or 12k. Kristiansen and Hermansen will be on more than that, both Danish internationals playing for clubs perennially in Euro completion before joining us.

Lots of players will have had a wage increase on promotion too. I think a few of those figures are probably are overbaked like Vardy's at this stage and probably Vestergaard's too but most are undercooked.

Mavididi and Fatawu just aren't on 10k pw. Our average wage was like 83k per week or something when we went down, we're not shrewd negotiators all of a sudden.

That's my opinion as well - think it's a chuffing awful source. Mostly likely accuracy in Italian players, players with Italian agents and players in Italy judging from the website's origins.
