We are lacking creativity and can’t score goals. We’ve averaged a goal per game this season, however we look terrible.

 

We can’t keep a clean sheet, conceding an average of 2.2 goals per game. 

 

We’ve got a head coach that has a philosophy that needs different or better players. Players that were not invested in during the transfer window. At this point I think PSR is a convenient excuse not to spend any money. 
 

Ruud hasn’t set the world on fire by any means. In fact, he’s performing far worse than Cooper was. 
 

We’ve gone from being extremely boring to watch, to being even more boring, to the point that the most exciting thing occurring is supporters kicking off at the board. 
 

Our most promising player in Buonanotte in the early part of the season, has been ostracised by our largely incompetent and out of depth head coach.

 

We’ve spent a weird amount of money on Oliver Skipp. Bizarrely, that could have signed us some semi competent defenders. 

 

So relegation, it’s inevitable, isn’t it?

Everyone, including myself, can bang on about other teams losing or dropping points. But it means square root of fvck all if we're not actually getting the points on the board as well.

 

Not even a smash and grab shithouse win, a last-minute goal to rescue a draw, a convincing victory, a clean sheet for starters!!

 

It's a recipe for relegation when you simultaneously struggle to score and leak goals for fun. 

 

Even when we play weakened teams, we struggle. We can't seem to keep fitness or concentration for a full 90 minutes which is the most basic of things to contribute to our downfall. Some players become passengers, others are relied upon too much so try too hard. A manager whose in-game management is questionable and seems pretty rigid when it comes to formation, an unwillingness to change. 

 

Hard to see where the next win comes from. Or even a draw. Even though Arsenal are 2nd, we'll probably find it's harder to play Brentford on Friday night because of the quality of the team we're facing. 

 

Hard to even see where the next clean sheet comes from. Can't think of many teams that have conceded as much as we have and survived, or the inability to keep a clean sheet for so long and survive. Players and staff probably already know they have to score 2 just to draw a game, and 3 to win it at the very least. Already puts us on a back footing.

 

And the players available is just a whole different story that goes beyond the manager because that particular damage was done in the summer...

 

It's pretty depressing, really.

Shouldn't be the case though. We have significantly higher revenue than these clubs you've mentioned and even more than the likes of Brentford and Bournemouth. It's nothing to do with us not being able to compete financially in the Premier league, it's because we don't have the right people running the club who can spend money correctly. Wages and transfer fees plus long contracts on average/poor players has absolutely killed the club and is why we are where we are. No accountability and no responsibility ultimately means we'll continue in this cycle but don't be fooled into thinking this is our level and where we should be/belong to be, we should be and belong to be in the Premier league if we actually had competent people running the club.

I made peace with it after the summer transfer window closed. Barely watch games anymore and if I do, I turn it off after 2-0. I'm not putting myself through the stress.

Staying up would be a bigger miracle than 14/15, but I wrote us off after the Hull game that season too.

It has been for a while. I haven't thought all season that we were good enough to stay up. The home defeat to Wolves was the moment it became inevitable for me.

 

I know it's never about one single moment, but that defeat to Wolves, and the nature of the performance that day, was when it was abundantly clear we don't have the quality or the mentality to survive.

The fact gave won 1 and lost 9 of the last 10 and we are still only one win from safety tells you Ipswich and Wolves are equally rancid.

 

We can still escape, but we need to take the hand break off and attack, trying to keep it tight isn't working.

 

We probably need to win 4 games and draw a couple, with every game that ticks over that's become more difficult.

Aye, next win will be May 3rd but I think we will be confirmed as down on April 26th when Wolves beat us at their gaff

If, and it's a big if, we are still in touch in 4 weeks time the I think we have a chance.  My only concern is  imo we have performed OK against some of the big boys but in a more defensive role and tried to counter.  The big thing to me is can we nullify some of the beatable teams at the same time as having a go at them in games that will soon become must win.

But wouldn’t it be great to see Manure fail big time and fall into the bottom three and we put together a 10 game winning spree saving us from Relegation and the three to go down were.                  18) Manure

Now that would be the ideal scenario for us but I can’t see the Premier League allowing Manure to go down !!

Wolves just have more about them and we've not done enough to drag anyone else into it. We lack ideas, we can't defend and the goals have dried up. We don't have the mentality to go to Molineux and win because we're weak.

Not inevitable, but very highly possible. Wolves are a stronger team than us and have the capacity to get results from teams around them. That keeps you up.

 

We  have dad's army up front and just look a team without any confidence, proper creativity or ideas on how to rescue the situation

Yeah, probably. We're 1/9 to go down. Our only hope is a mega Man City points deduction meaning there's only one spot left, but even then I'd think Ipswich would be more likely to stay up, they have more fight than us - see getting a point at Villa.

My opinion doesn`t change really, as long as we`re only one game, 3pts away from safety I retain a glimmer of hope, if, and when Wolves bugger off into the distance then my towel will be thrown in !
