This will be our final home game of the season.

It’s also most likely the final time that we will see Jamie Vardy play for us.

Does he get a big send off? Or does this just play out as standard game?

It’ll almost most likely be the last time Ward, Thomas and Iversen also get to play for us as well, however I’m not expecting many people to come and celebrate that send off.

The board likely see this as the ultimate deflection tool. Big Jamie Vardy tribute. Don’t spoil it

Maybe last year was the better time for him to retire. To retire when there is so much hatred towards the club for someone that has given us so much just feels wrong

The problem is. We haven’t signed an appropriate striker to take the burden off him. He should not at his age be starting all these games

Sky will probably just show him comming out of the tunnel on the day, then cover the game in the studio with our jinx Clinton Morrison, so we will definitely lose anyway. It will be a shame, but all good things must come to an end. Thanks Jamie in advance.

Vardy will know that despite the rising discontent towards the club, he will not be targeted. He will be still be remembered as a legend for all he has done for us for so long.

Whilst it will not be the ideal send-off for him, he needs to leave to preserve his legacy.

I think we ( the fans ) are good enough to set aside our clubs malaise and for one game focus on our club legend who deserves a great send off. Wish I could be there 😢

Needs to go for the health of the team. As long as he's around, he'll be the first choice because of the implications of not picking him, but he's not up to that role anymore. Plus he's still on £100k a week or so which is madness

It's not 2019 anymore. Puel was wrong to try and reduce our reliance on him when he did but its now 2025 and he's 38. He would be happy coming off the bench for the last 20 minutes and I'd wager he doesn't even want to be starting every game. He just has to because of the incompetence above him.

It probably won’t be that toxic as we’d probably had our relegation confirmed a couple of weeks prior. Playing Ipswich means it’s a game between 2 relegated teams so probably a relaxed atmosphere. Probably can be a decent send off if organised properly

I ****ing hope so! He deserves the best of send-offs. We'll be down well before then, so need for any bitterness at that stage.

Anyhow, I wouldn't rule out another season for him in the Championship as we bed in new young strikers, (🤞).

No point dwelling over the relegation once it’s guaranteed. Anybody that does needs to give their head a wobble.

But in all seriousness, do we not think Jamie will stay another year in the championship? He’s done in the top flight for sure, but championship?

I’ve whacked a huge amount on corporate tickets just in case it’s his last game. Been considering selling because I hate everything about this club right now, but I feel I’ll regret that. He’s the goat.

Think he will still be able to do a job for us next year. Don't think he will want it to end like that either, so he may accept a pay cut for one more year.

Depends on the manager, RVN or whoever may not want a 39 year old striker next season.

There's not a single manager would turn down a 15-20 goal striker in that league.

It's the wages that would be the issue. BTW for anyone celebrating Ward going, isn't he here till 2026?
