splinterdream Posted 16 March 2025 Posted 16 March 2025 Would a manager who would manage us in the championship, look at us now and want to wait, or get stuck in now? At what point are we more attractive?
Leicesterpool Posted 16 March 2025 Posted 16 March 2025 I'm all for giving Richie Wellens a go next season with likes of Andy King (already here) and maybe Kevin Phillips part of the coaching team. 1

foxile5 Posted 16 March 2025 Posted 16 March 2025 "Hello Ruud - if we sack you then we have to pay you several million pounds. You could 'save face' and quit. Would you like several million pounds or would you like you like to 'save face' and quit a job nobody expected you to succeed at?" The levels of delusion are at peak insanity. He's going nowhere. 2
foxile5 Posted 16 March 2025 Posted 16 March 2025 Even Sam Allardyce waited to be sacked when he was caught ****ing fiddling at the England job. Why on earth would Ruud Van Nistlerooy suddenly develop a conscience that literally no premier League manager has had for two decades. 1
fox in the sox Posted 16 March 2025 Posted 16 March 2025 He’s not talking like he is walking in his interviews but surely it will start to ruin his future managerial career soon. There is nobody at the club who could take over and we will not get a Dean Smith type of stop gap as we are already doomed. I guess we could look for a longer term appointment but make it clear they have a free pass to the end of the season.
Glasgow fox Posted 16 March 2025 Posted 16 March 2025 I am as certain as can be that there is a clause that means we part amicably when we get relegated. No point sacking him as nobody can keep us up at this stage and we have no cash to pay him off. Best case scenario is new manager and new board next season or at least new manager and a dof with rudkin gone.

I agree, no point sacking him now,if we can get rid of for nothing, once relegation is confirmed! 1

But like you said be Brussel Martin 😂

adamkhalifa Posted 16 March 2025 Posted 16 March 2025 Whoever comes in next. I want us to move out of this turgid possession based system. We were already 5 years behind, when we adopted it. Let's at least think forward, and go direct. 1

Foxin_Mad Posted 17 March 2025 Posted 17 March 2025 If Rudkin is still here it will be someone shit who keeps the pass it round at the back philosophy Rudkin has spent ages building a quality squad for.

If that were the case you would think there would be a clause that a manager could be sacked without compensation after 10 losses in a row if we knew what we were doing contractually.
ithuriel Posted 17 March 2025 Posted 17 March 2025 No one decent will want the job, not with Rudders ruining things, oops my mistake, there's no I in a team, running things.
jayfox26 Posted 17 March 2025 Posted 17 March 2025 Just get Danny Rohl if he's not already agreed to join Southampton 1

Le Renard Posted 17 March 2025 Posted 17 March 2025 Wayne Rooney incoming; he takes any old job. Do we have any decent massage parlours chez Leicester?

You home, and I certainly wouldn't want him, but he probably has a better win ratio than RvN. That is how bad it is Edited 17 March 2025 by fox_favourite

Now, if he somehow saved us he'd be a hero he has two extra months as well as a pre season to work out who he wants to get rid of, it's worth conducting informal interviews either way now.
