after 10 games of him being found out (not on him, just lack of experience) they would be wasting another 3 months trying to decide what next

remember he was part of the coaching team last season. Was he able to influence the attitude at all?  I doubt it

We had too many players last season that either not good enough or couldn't be bothered or both,.this season will be different any manager with reasonable football brain should get something out of the squad on paper we still should have a better squad that most. I don't see point of wasting money we can't afford on mega bucks manager that down the line we will sack

You need to check your grammar when speaking about leicester city ...... the words board and sensible should never be used in the same sentence

It was tongue in cheek cause we all know it won't happen incoming another mega bucks contract manager that we will sack further down the line

I don’t understand the O’Neil / Wilder links if PSR is such a big issue. We’ll be having to pay them off when they inevitably get sacked in 12 months time.

Rohl and King are the only options that make sense long term in my opinion.

I know it won’t happen but I would rather have King in charge if he got some good heads around him rather than an uninspiring appointment.

Yes King has fvck all experience as a head coach but he has the respect from the fans, players and club which would give him some wiggle room if he didn’t start off great.

Let him build something here. He’ll also promote youth too, which we seem to have a few gems within the youth team.

True ... at some point the club will be so desperate to fill the position they will have no choice but to over pay for under achievement..... again

I can't seem to reconcile this sentiment of 'Dyche/Wilder/O'Neil are rubbish, we're an unserious club, just give it to King even though we know he's got zero experience'

Can't everyone see the contradiction there?

Chris Powell in NOW as Coach, to work with Kingy, then when his boss comes in as Manager (whenever he can sort out his stuff with the 'looney'), CP to be Assistant.

Rudkin has never heard of them

Your are probably correct. His playbook never ventures outside the list of sacked UK Managers and has beens whose tactics belong back in the 70's.

Rudkin sat in the corner playing Cliff Richard records and calling everyone who disagrees with him a fascist

They’d be too ambitious of a move for Rudkin.

My head has fallen off at the "...hope to identify a preferred target this week" line. Just simply astounding.

Get them all gone.

King was part of the coaching setup last season. Did the players show their respect for him then?

It's obvious we want Rohl or someone else hard to get, Wilder, Dyche or O'Neill could have been appointed weeks ago.

I think it's fairly obvious Rohl is the main target. All signs very much point to that, it's not really much of a mystery.

But he's obviously in a difficult contractual situation and we can't afford to pay his full compo.

Think we'll end up with a Steve Cooper situation all over again. We're just going to hire any old idiot after spending days and weeks hanging on waiting for our first choice and giving no real thought to who the second choice will be when it doesn't come off.

You're forgetting that Aiyawatt and Jon aren't yet back from their summer cruise together.

If Rohl isn't in the running then it has to be Dyche from the names mentioned.

Don't want O'Neil or Wilder anywhere near this club. Genuinely won't use my season ticket next season if either of these clowns are appointed.

If its not Rohl, then my preference from the out of work manager's (assuming that's the pool we're looking in) would be Cifuentes or Hasenhuttl. I'd even take Dean Smith over O'Neil and Wilder if that was an option.

He wasn’t running the show though was he? He wasn’t the one  implementing his ideas on the pitch.

In 15 years of KP, we'll have only ever appointed two managers currently in a senior job. One of our greatest ever managers they forced out in the first place with the impending takeover for a big name and Rodgers.

Sven - out of work, disaster

Pearson

Ranieri - out of work

Shakespeare - already at the club

Puel - just sacked by Southampton

Rodgers - appointed from Celtic, huge success initially, never followed up by poaching a manager again

Dean Smith - out of work

Maresca - youth coach, hired on a recommendation

Cooper - out of work

RVN - out of work, literally just played us twice

Pitiful record and it's amazing we've had any success under these charlatans

it’s been a business decision to follow the ‘ out of work’ method.  Not paying compensation means spending less money.
