Would love to see him turn out in the Champions League one more time, won't lie. Deserves it as a swansong after the career he's had with us, whether he's up to it anymore or not.

Though Celtic are doing their best to throw that away before he gets through the door, couldn't beat Borat FC at home last night and need to go to Kazakhstan and win. lol

Free agents also have to join in the transfer window, I think?

Probably his last option.

I think Free Agents can be signed and registered outside of the transfer window because to bar them from signing with a club is to prevent them from being able to work.

I could be wrong on that though

Pretty sure they can sign any time.

Not sure if I imagined this, but I thought to be able to sign and register as a free agent outside a window for a new club, you had to be a free agent before the window closed.

If I was Newcastle, I’d go for Vardy tbh. I’m not having it that Strand Larsen is any better and they’re prepared to spaff 50 million in his face.

He’d get a much better service than the losers supplying him last year and he’d score tons in that team.

Isak out, Vardy in and re-evaluate next year when they’re not in such a rush. UCL for Jamie, a new hero for the fans. They’ve got the money for wages. It all adds up.

Wasn't it that each manager that came in saw Vardy's unorthodox training methods and ways and just let him get on with it?

Not sure how that would work going to a club.

Maybe he's turned down a few clubs looking for someone specific to accommodate his quirks?

They can sign anytime, provided they was a free agent during the window.

I think he will get a shock. Kasper said the same when he left us to join Nice.

What was it that shocked Kasper do you know? I always had him as hard grafter when he was with us.

Basically that he couldn’t follow the training regime he wanted and thought worked for him, he was made to do what the club wanted.

I'd imagine that that figure has dramatically dropped since he first decided he wanted to leave here.

I really thought someone would have snapped him up. Pretty much the perfect striker to bring off the bench for 10 minutes. Takes penalties, world class movement and finishing, all the experience in the world, a great lad for the dressing room and can handle the pressure that any club could put on him.

Worth a 1 year deal for anyone IMO.

Actually think this bit is the problem - im not 100% convinced he is and could be a very disruptive influence who might need special treatment. Think he had special treatment from us for sometime but because of who he was he got it.
