Monday night, losing 4-1 at home to United, stuck on 2 points after 15 games and you live in Wolverhampton

Do they know it's Christmas time at all?

WELL TONIGHT, THANK GOD, IT'S WOLVES,

AND NOT THE BLUES

I want Wolves to go down, so this is all well and good, but I also want them to get more than 11 points (no reason :P ).

Find it hard to dislike Maddison. Speaking well of his time at Leicester.

I still think he was treated very harshly here.

He’s always good on TV, very natural, no real signs of media training you often get from current players.

Nice to be reminded of his stats. I think he struggled a bit with the question on our downfall there, looked like he wanted to say something but palmed it off slightly onto fan expectation.

You could tell despite the praise he was getting about his achievements with us he is scarred by the relegation...and rightly so! Most ridiculous relegation in PL history and you'd hope the rest of those players feel just as embarassed.

Funny when they asked him if "it was always gonna be Spurs" he was blatantly lying🤣. Crap club.

I mean that's obvious to be fair. We'll just have to wait till they all retire to actually find out what happened! A day I'm very much looking forward to!

There is no answer. We had players who are currently excelling in the Premier League and Europe. A supposed top coach. They were too soft, too casual made worse by continual ridiculous team selections (Ward, Amartey in particular).

100%

What I mean is as someone who never chucks out media trained answers that was the closest I’ve seen to him doing so.

People forget how good he was in the first half of the season, before the World Cup. Problem is, some may only remember the tweet attacking Tanner, the backpass v Bournemouth and the penalty miss all in quick succession and forget about how good he was!

Maddison showed he cared more than even vards that season, problem is if you’ve got all these rattles appearances in the media and the infamous tweet it’s only natural for fans to pile on if you don’t get us out of this mess. He should’ve been guided that season a lot better, either from the gaffer or the captain and I think Kasper leaving probably didn’t help for that

So many Maddison haters.  Mahrez had his too.  Something about the cut of their jibs.  They definitely weren''t made to get physical in the box.  Ridiculous clothing taste and budget ... or maybe didn't consider LCFC the ultimate destination ... guilty on those all-important counts.

If you didn't accept that you were watching two of the most extravagantly skilled and entertaining players ever seen in our colors, well, I hope you prefer what you're seeing today.

Can understand why some fans didn’t like Maddison. But I loved him whilst he was here and since moving in he’s shown nothing but respect to us. He played his best football of his career for us.

Nobody doubts Maddison's quality and sincerity. Fans also have the right to question what went on when they see many of that squad still achieving at Premier League, European and international level whilst they were overseen by an alleged great coach and man manager.

There is no debate about last season- a squad of poor Premier League players coached by poor Premier League managers. But we are still to receive an explanation for 22/23.

Maddison contributed more in our relegated season than any other players. Double figures for goals and probably assists too. If only the other players contributed similar.

I find it hard to dislike him.

If it weren't for some questionable fashion/bag choices and 1 tweet I don't think Maddison would've got half the grief he did.

Always seemed like a good lad and was far from being the problem.

For me Maddison's always seemed like a top lad off the field and ability wise he's one of the best to have played for us.

His attitude on the field always rubbed me up the wrong way though, strikes me as someone who's been able to get to the top with his ability and he doesn't have that real bite or desire to win. Ambling to take a corner as snail's pace when we're chasing a game and generally looking lethargic and going missing for large portions of seasons, never mind games.

Strikes me as someone who's quite chilled and ultimately win or lose he's not too fussed, he knows he's gonna earn an absolute bag from the game due to his ability. Which is a personality trait I feel like you can attribute to a hell of a lot of our players since Pearson left.

Whereas someone like KDH seems to have had to really graft and has that mentality that he wants to win his battles and do his best to help the team, despite not having that obvious ability that Maddison has.
