Aint really Sky's call though is it? Got nothing to do with them.

Come on they hold the majority of power. Sheff Wed will just have to play the kids. They have enough amongst their academy's

If any of their games gets called off it will be Stoke at home.

Sky cannot force a club to do anything.

You’re right but as mentioned they hold a lot of power. The game will be played I’m sure. The noise coming out of the club is at least saying so as they’re on about paying for their own hotels etc.

I get the sentiment but...seriously?

What the fvck have the "elite" got to do with Chansiri behaving like an absolute prat and driving the club into the ground? There is literally no correlation at all.

I get the PSR rules etc protect the big clubs but SWFCs situation has absolutely nothing to do with any of that at all.

I'm not saying their owner is perfect. He's far from it. What I'm saying is that the game is taken away from the pure fan base. I don't care about other countries but it's shocking we don't have strict ownership rules for the sport here. Russian oligarchs were allowed to own teams and do business with MPs, Saudi butchers are also allowed for years now to do the same. As it stands we might offer a team to Kim Yong Un and the fans will happily clap.

The sport in England must be co-owned by the fans in every aspect.

Otherwise it will be gone and it will be a sport for OnlyFans.

I bet Daka still doesn’t score though.

The only way if Daka scores, is if the game is forfeit 3.0 Daka hatrick

The forced the Ipswich game in the snow back in 2010 to go ahead

and the Boro game back in 2013 with 6k in the stadium

In both cases both teams at the ground.

How they doing it if Wednesday don't travel.

Sky hold all the power.

Remember Middlesbrough in the snow? About 8k in the ground?

Yeah, went ahead because of Sky. No way we're the roads or paths to the ground safe.

Wednesday fans will I think try very hard to get onto the pitch. Paul Cook’s notice period not looking plain sailing.

KP won’t want their country mate getting embarrassed on “Thai” turf

I remember that as I didn't make it to the game as my mate crashed his car (not badly) on the way.

That was madness we played that.

My takeaway from this paying for their hotel thing is actually why they would need to. Even if it was Sheffield United who are in a good place making the trip, is a hotel stay for a 4.30pm kick off between Sheffield and Leicester really necessary? Loads of problems with getting people (not just the players but wider staff) paid and being able to just survive and fulfil fixtures but not sure that part is really an issue…

Chansiri has funded very little for 8 years or so. As proven with our trust doing extensive financial research. I don't think I could even begin to list the hundreds of unbelievable things hes done and said in that time. The crazy thing is that because as a club we had been starved of any investment at all for decades his initial 2 year spend (which got us into ffp issues) was treated as if he loved us and was genuinely committed. Little did we know how sinisterly unprepared, unworkable and villainous he would become. Its taken years for some fans to wake up. We are too loyal, nobody wanted to protest. Weve been through such crap for so long that I dont think many really realised we were being run into the ground.

A lot of what you say at the end there is the same as our fanbase towards our Thai overlord! Obviously we are in nowhere near as bad a position. But yeah I was thinking in the day of Foristieri (so), Rhodes etc. But definitely you have been left for some time now with no investment.

I hope you get it sorted. Living and working in Sheffield I hate what it is doing to the club and Owl supporting mates and colleagues.

You posted something further up about Clive Betts and I must say, if something makes me agree with something Mr Betts has to say, it must be serious

I think it's pretty standard.  They get up, have breakfast together, light training, tactics meeting, get to the ground nice and early etc.

Not staying at a hotel might not be the end of the world, but it is a disruption to the preparation and could be a major distraction if there are unexpected delays.

I feel for everyone associated with Wednesday right now.  It's an utter disgrace.

Haha I was thinking this, 90 mins or so. Get down for midday, go for a coffee and a walk and get the ground for 2:30-3.
