Doesn’t Fatawu have the record for most big chances created in the Championship? Pretty sure he beat the likes of G. Rutter who Leeds sold for over €46m (reportedly). Surely he’s worth similar or more than that as he’s a winger? I get he’s been injured and working his way back. But I agree 50-60m is a little mental… who knows in a few years he might be worth that much.

He smashed the record. The record was 22 or 23 and fatawu got 32...

He and/or El Khannouss goes and it will be a grim watch. We have so little in terms of entertaining or exciting players as it is.

Look at the only signing we've made this summer, a 38yo reserve GK.

The modus operandi of the club this season appears to be to cut wages as much as possible, generate as much as they can in transfer fees and hopefully scrape promotion with what is left. If we had plans to spend money on problem positions we would already have done it, I suspect any incoming transfers this summer will be reactionary when big players are sold.

We have been so lazy in the transfer market for a few years and the chickens are coming home to roost. The signing of Skipp is the epitome of that, he was approaching his mid 20's and had a ceiling after over 100 games in professional football and coming through an academy. He wasn't good enough for Tottenham, he wasn't courted by other clubs but we decided to pay £20m+ on a player who was surplus and someone tell be a scenario where his value was ever going to increase with us, it could only go downwards. They must have been high fiving each other in the Tottenham boardroom after that deal, much like the Liverpool boardroom when we signed Danny Ward who was another player who if you had done your due diligence on was obvious he was overvalued.

Club getting what it deserves I'm afraid with too many people coasting and hoping things will sort themselves out.

Exactly right, but I was hoping that we'd try to keep Bilal and Fatawu at all costs (assuming they don't engineer their own way out), and I've seen little evidence that they've downed tools (last game being a joint disappointment (Monga being the exception).

I was also hoping even if we've no money to sign players to improve the squad we'd be linked with a few exciting loans that would improve us, particularly in the central areas, whether that's a midfield, striker possibly a defender...

I knew he had the record, couldn’t remember he smashed it by that much!!!!

I revise my previous statement, if a player creates that many “big chances” he’s worth big money 😅

Seems mental we'd sell fatawu, you just wonder at what point we're gonna hit the bottom

We do not know what the plan is, so who knows.

With selling so many players getting back to the Prem  at  the first attempt seems to be out and balancing the books is the order of the day.

We will have no excitement and no creativity. Would be horrific.

We are already shit

We are but currently the players think they are hard done to Premier League big boys, id rather a bunch of non league cloggers, at least they might try.

I'd be more broken if Fatawu leaves compared to BEK.

Fatawu is just a different level.

Is there any point in having him this year if we are not a team good enough for promotion though?

Little evidence we will be in the mix so far, and likely points deduction coming, he will go for less next summer after a season in the Championship and one year less on his deal.

Potentially higher selling value if he smashes it regardless.

But just to enjoy him as ours and be marginally less drab than if he wasn't around!

Don’t rule us out just yet, if I remember the season we went up under big nige we started average to say the least and that was off the back of a terrible last 20 games or so the season before.

Even tho we are shite why would he go to Sunderland? Think it would be a bad kove for him, Matty Piper vibes.

Stay another season or two here and he’ll have the big boys knocking 100%

Financial consolidation and stability.

A 2 or 3 year stint in the Championship, whilst we develop young talent and scout

hungry players with potential.Get promoted

With a young and improving squad low cost with no carried over Financial issues.

Big contracts going forwards only for

retention of proven players.

That's the plan.

Thing is though - if this were the plan then why wouldn't the club just communicate it? The large majority of our fanbase would agree this is now the correct course of action (not ignoring how we got in this mess in the first place) but to communicate nothing is a lose lose situation for them surely.
