Let me guess, the comments are a bunch of mouth breathers claiming they don't care about us? :fishing:

Oh stop it. Everyone has their own challenges and it affects each one differently.

This is some boomer esque mental health advice and borderline dangerous behaviour. "Oh you can't be going through a tough time right now because there are other people in the world who have it worse". I do hope you treat those around you better.

He is right though, I dont feel sorry for Mads, because the worst case scenario is he casually is going through training 5 days a week on a massive take home pay.  If I do feel sorry for a player its usually because they have a nasty injury, injury risk is the bad side of being a sports man.  But no need to feel sorry for someone just because they having bad games or lose their first team place.

he looked solid albeit we didn’t do much to bother him! Over half of the division could go down this year and if we’ve got performances like that in us, we’re one of them.

Don’t worry about it, it’s great down here, zero corruption, zero VAR, win more than you lose, so pleased we left the circus.

Pleased for him. A lot of people have been rewriting history with Mads when he was really a very good goalkeeper for us.

Hopefully he can get back to his best. He's a good lad.

As much as we take the piss you'll be nowhere near relegation this season

Speak for yourself.

West Ham look exactly like we did in 22/23. Clearly the odd player with quality that will win the odd game by themselves but just surrounded by idiots and a collective lack of effort.

They need to sack Potter IMO.

Might ruin his career that move

Agreed. He's OK but not PL as we saw last season. Agreed, he had a terrible defence in front of him but apart from being a good shot stopper I felt his willingness to come for crosses was a big weakness for a GK.

West Ham will ditch him if his performances are costing them. Then what? Wrexham?

So they can lay back for months on massive take home pay.

An injury is bad for about a day, at most. Even the worst ones. A broken leg, discovered shoulder, separated joint… etc. It’s an experience, and in life it isn’t the worst you’ll have.

Mental health issues are much worse than a bad injury, granted one can lead to the other.

Talks online about West Ham looking to sell him already.

Potter wanted him but has since been sacked.

Apparently Nuno isn’t a fan.

I’m not sure what to make of him.

I think sections of our fan base massively overrate players who are good on the ball, even if it is not their primary job (GK and defenders) and when they aren’t doing their primary job right (Vestergaard/Faes).

I recall going into last season dubious about Hermansen as I just didn’t recall him making any game winning contributions in our Championship season, in the sense a GK should. Think Schmeichel time and time again. Obviously got pelters on here as he was the best keeper ever and going for £70mill!

But then he did show that side in the early part of the season, Arsenal away sticks out. So I thought, yeah, he can actually shot stop as well. I never thought he was good at commanding his area mind.

And now it’s gone wrong for him. Was the shot stopping ability shown early last season a purple patch? Or is it external factors, injuries and a bad transfer? Confidence in the drain? Really hard to tell.

I think he was just an average goalkeeper that had a great season in the Championship which many keepers do.  As soon as we were promoted, his lack of physical presence really showed through, even more so since his move to West Ham.

We got a really good deal.

Very true .... he is no more than average ... no real presence or commanding of his area .... just hope the fee had no based on appearances clause in it ....

Got enough gk cover. That money needs to go on a striker!

What money? We will not be spending in January.

Maybe a couple of loans in at best.

If you ignore that he was pretty much the reason we were getting ridiculed for sacking Cooper
