We dug in thought Okoli and Vestergaard defended well

Stolarcyk was excellent

Fatawu confidence goal

Got through a very tough away game with 16/17 year olds starting

Marti subs were decent

Hamza was excellent

Monga showed bits again

Ricardo got some minutes 

 

Negatives 

 

Midfield is awful, skipp in particular is woeful we have to sign at least 1 CM minimum.

We are desperate for a striker, Ayew was awful, when we needed him to do what hes meant to be good at he wouldn't release it, was gagging for fouls and lost the ball so many times. Daka was his normal useless self.

Luke Thomas continues to plays like a child.

We have to sign a BEK replacement, page doesn't look ready yet.

Managed the game so so poorly the last 20 minutes, constantly giving it back, allowing crosses.

Not great at all, a lot of work to be done. But that's 6 points on the board and there were plenty of positives. 

 

I think we'll get better as the season goes on and the kids get up to speed. Desperately need a signing or two though.

Okoli couldn’t pass gas, so I get why Vestergaard is in there. If you resort the two of them to defending the box and headers then it’s not as bad. 
 

Midfield needs urgent attention and a striker is a must.

Absolutely. The quality won the game from Abdul and Jakob. 
 

You can’t judge Marti yet until this window is shut and he’s (hopefully) got a few of his own players that we need to freshen the attack up.
 

I was impressed with the effort of most of our players today and we did look more organised at the back. 
 

If Ricardo stays fit he’ll be huge for us.

Other than that our fluidity is non existent, I couldn’t tell you what we were trying to do from an attacking sense other than give to to Fatawu and hope he takes on his man. More presence higher up in centre mid is needed

Unbalanced and limited squad. Way too many players who don’t want to be here. Keep selling players. No incomings. Manager barely given a preseason. I’ll take 6 points out of 9!

That doesn’t even require much skill, it’s just being at it from minute one, and we’ve seen none of it thus far

 

Massive week ahead, if we can avoid defeat against Birmingham and get at least a couple of new faces in then I’d take that going into the international break

Fantastic result, we put the ball in the net and they didn’t. Jakob and defence did very well although a glaring chance for Campbell near the end, should be a goal all day long. It’s a step in the right direction but it’s clear to see we need new players through the door.

I think my assessment of the team in early August was completely wrong. We don't need just 15 players as I said back then. 

We need 25 players, around 100 new staff members, a new owner, a new mascot and relocate the team to Texas.

A big concern is how they absolutely ripped us open on corners. Miraculous they didn't score off at least one of them.

Lucky win after being outplayed for most of the game. Same issues we've seen in previous games. Slow backward passing, non existent midfield and attack. Only tactic seems to give it to Fats and hope he does something positive.

I love Okoli's passion. He's bought a ticket. I knew that last season, when he celebrated his goal. Clearly matters.

I thought Silko Thomas looked sharp.
