his amortisation this year is 4.5m so would need to be double that to make it worthwhile.  We’d have to pay a loyalty bonus to him aswell.

His reduced wages approx 3m/year.  Any decent  replacement will be 2m so not much of a saving

Just sell, the only players I really wanted to keep outside the academy players were Fatawu and BEK.

 

I was also happy to keep {ducks for cover} Vestergaard, Ricardo, Winks and Mavididi before this window started, the rest can go for a decent offer. We've had a good selling window getting rid of the rotten core of the club of which Soumare is one.
