The only reason he's here, is because the club wanted to be seen to be doing something. Rudkin knew Vardy was not going to be offered a contract and we needed a striker, months ago, yet this is the best we could do. This was a PR exercise to keep Marti onside. No one who's seen this guy play can honestly think he's going to score goals.

I have just rewatched the goal. No idea what he is trying to do there dribbling aimlessly when he had 3/4 options. He looks like a panic loan that seems has been recommended by an agent on the Rudkin approved list. It was the most important bit of incoming business of the summer and it looks like another dud signing.

I don't think anyone here can say Daka has been anything other than a failure but I have seen enough of him to know what he can do when he's confident. 

 

Admittedly it's no good if that's a handful of times every 50 games or whatever the ratio is now. But when he come into the side under Enzo he was more effective than Vardy in opening the play and stretching the opposition for what Enzo required. He fell off a cliff after the Leeds game and has never recovered.

You could have been mistaken for not realising Carranza was on the pitch.

 

Ayew is a winger out to pasture. 

 

Daka is absolutely fine and at times exceptional at all aspects of his trade untill he has to take a shot on goal.

 

And that ladies and gentlemen is where this team is at.

I think it was £2.75m plus add ons. 

 

We had £60m incoming.  I know we have our problems but I find it hard to believe that we couldn't have managed that.

It was a shocking bit of play but he can’t be blamed for the goal. A striker should be able to do what they think is best and not expect that if they lose the ball a team will waltz up the other end and score. 
 

The bigger problem is that he doesn’t look like he’d score if he played 25 games. If marti has anything about him, we should be seeing a youth player in the role shortly.

Looks like another mistake. All clubs get the odd signing wrong, but for him to come in and not be able to displace Daka, its disgusting.
