Am I wrong in thinking this is the guy that pulled a hamstring every time he faced vardy?

I thought that was Ashley Williams but could have been him as well.

Correct it was Williams - between Vards and Mahrez he had a torrid time !!

Its been a while but I think JL could be an inspiring signing if he can stay fit - he’s a leader in the Jonny E, Wes and Huth mould and boy have we needed one!!

I had said about getting a Wes/Huth type in and fitness to be seen, this is that signing. A shame we couldn’t get a left back but assuming we manage to stay in this league, and keep them, the following could have a good balance if we could get a left back with some senior experience.

Aluko - Lascelles - Nelson - new

Good mix of experience and youth there already. Hopefully the 3 names there can be starting for the rest of this season with a random fan selection at left back until we can address it

IF he is able to stay fit then this is a very good deal by us

A big if though

his willingness to sign a 6 month contract is a red flag but beggars cant be choosers (us not him)

Can remember his debut season for Forest, his performance at our place when they beat us 2-0 or 2-1 he was immense that day bullied us but obviously a much younger athletic version of what we’re getting

Is Kristiansen almost back? He is dog but would take a literal golden retriever over Thomas

After that performance at home v Wrexham I’d rather just have neither of them play. Unbelievable we’ve not signed a LB this window!

Nottingham Forest legend turning them down to join the Leicester city big dogs, very embarrassing for Sean Dyches tricky trees

Giving off Morgan vibes - "Jamaal Lascelles is a blue; he hates Forest" :scarf:

We have a history of signing decent CBs late in their career. I'm thinking of Sinclair, Huth, Taggert, Morgan. Even Coady, though that didn't work out great.

So hopefully iLaselles is another. I just hope he doesn't get poisoned by the bad Eggs in the squad.

Was nice to hear him talk about is leadership not just being an arm around but also a firm hand. Seems to be something we’re missing in the squad. Even if he contributes less than nothing on the pitch, if he can be part of the mentality change in the playing squad he’ll be a massive success.

Not trying to put too much on him, but the players have gotten away with far too much, and our current leaders don’t really seem like they’ve got the personality to rein them in.

Jamaal’s first job:

Go up to the Plonker, tap him on the shoulder and say:

“Look at me, I’m the Vice-Captain now”.

Time will tell! Rudkin has loads of previous, fingers crossed though 🤞

This is the problem isn't it? We fans have been so damaged by the clubs previous performance that we look at this window and expect the worst. It might be that we have signed a replacement for Wes Morgan, a hard-working centrla midfielder, a young player who will be a standout in the Championship and a winger turned striker who scores a dozen. Instead we expect a permanent sicknote, a worse Soumare clone, an over-hyped youngster and a player who will never play a senior minute!

I suspect the reality will be somewhere in the middle but more towards the latter! :(

I know he’s not liked on FT, but as a supporter since 1965-66, he’s the best CB I’ve seen in our shirt.

IMO

Fofana was mustard with us - hard to remember given how he left and the absolute weapon he's turned out to be
