It’s been obviously for months that he is leaving. Also confirms what was strongly suspected that he doesn’t want to sign a new deal.

Can’t blame him on either count to be fair.

He has the highest ceiling out of any of our academy graduates in the last 5 years, maybe even 10 years.

He will go to Torino for a maximum of two seasons and then will be back in the premier league for at least 40 million. Whilst we will see under 5 million for him.

Doesn't want to be here, wants to take his chances in Italy. Fair play. Was rated very very highly but didn't show it last season. Best of luck to him.

Go and play for a mid table Serie A side whilst living in Turin or stay at Leicester playing in league one… hmm hard decision…

A decent season for them and he can get himself a Prem move

will have a release clause so if he performs then his move onwards should be straightforward

With only a year left, we may only see about £3m

Would take an unprecedented improvement, last season showed for me he hasn’t got what it take for PL football

Notice how better teams than ours are hoovering up our young players whereas our senior players can't get a move for the life of them.

Yet some of our fans still think the way forward is more experienced pros rather than trusting the only players with any actual value at the club (our academy players).

One day Nelson, Braybrooke, Alves, Monga, Evans, Page will all be doing well at a higher level than us and we will be sat wondering why we didn't give them more game time.

Get him gone. He’s not that good.

We had fans saying El Khannouss was crap, when anyone with half a brain could see the talent even in a dysfunctional side. He's now playing top 6 Bundesliga and in a World Cup quarter final for a very decent side.

Nelson has the attributes to be a very good player. He didn't show it enough here, and that is partly his fault, but also the club being a basket case is no place for a youngster to come in and try and establish themselves.

Assuming injuries don't derail him, I'd expect his career to go from strength to strength now.

Can't blame Nelson at all for wanting to move on.

He absolutely did not live up to the hype when he played, but he clearly has some really decent attributes and it took far far too long for him to be given his chance.

Losing players like Nelson now is an indictment on the club, not on the individual player.

Cifuentes really ****** us in this regard. Playing Faes instead of Nelson at the start of last season ruined any chances of getting him signed up to a contract extension.

Like Justin and Tielemans he’ll improve working with better coaches and players.
Why would he want to carry on here at this shit show?
We have little choice if he isn’t gonna sign a contract extension with us.
Unfortunately we have to get what we can for him now.

so torino only offered £1mil for Nelson,

laughable bid, wouldnt even consider it.....lowest for me would be 3mil and least 20% sell on

also I rate Kevon Gray higher than Nelson

almost better in every department compared to Nelson(at the same age)

Questions need asking on why his contract wasn't extended back when things were good.

When were things good??

You could argue the season under Enzo but he would have had 4 years left then

Our supporters are amazing. Chance to go and play in Italy at a much higher level than stay at a shitshow of a club and it's all "GET HIM GONE"  "SHIT ANYWAY"

Classy as always from the brainless section of our lot.

He’s a Rolls Royce of a footballer. He will play for England.
